We Got into YC, Got Kicked Out, and Fought Our Way Back
... this, subscribe here . Hey Product Hunt! I'm Mahyad, the founder of SigmaOS and now Okibi an agent that builds agents for you, launching today. We're currently going through YC for the second time, but the first time around wasn t exactly smooth. In fact, we got kicked out and then fought our way back in. Here's the full story. Browsers Weren t Built for Work In 2021, we started building SigmaOS because modern work had outgrown ... ... thought it was worth applying to YC. Accidentally Scheduled, Barely Ready I got the YC interview invite while movers were packing my apartment. I was so excited I immediately called my co-founders, Saurav and Ali . Augment Code releases CLI Claude Code competitor Auggie
... more than $200M, so it must be decent. They just announced the release of a CLI tool, Auggie, to compete with Claude Code. Here's the launch announcement . Does anyone use Augment day to day? Is this a viable alternative to @Claude Code ? I tried it out the other day and couldn't get used to not being able to see the diffs like you can with other tools. Comment from Adi Singh(@adi_singh5): I've taken a closer ... ... diff rendering is more mature in Claude Code, which makes a big difference in usability. Still, Auggie's CLI-focused design might appeal to some developers. Comment from steve beyatte(@steveb): @rickyguo  nice, are you using it with VS

Are "real" engineers/developers (secretly) hating on non-technical vibecoders?
... money on it, just something to prove I could do it, and I got to feel what it was like to launch something on Product Hunt - yay! But I ve also seen alot of posts/comments from more technical folks around the web hating on non technical people for believing that you can go from 0-1 and that these new tools are best to speed up work for technical people who already know how to code, not for newbies ... ... with something that works by copying and pasting crappy code spit out by LLMs of their choice. Is the discomfort around

A more personal topic: Having (or not having) a family while building a business?
... This mindset tends to be more common among people in their 20s/early 30s. I ve also noticed that those who were extremely focused on their business often didn t have much time for their families, or didn t get around to starting one at all. I know this is a personal topic, but I m curious: Where do you place family and work in your life? What s your take on it? If you already have a family ... ... Comment from Adam Martelletti(@adam_martelletti): @busmark_w_nika  It s simple :D (Not quite, but does help) 1. Delegate 2. Systemise Comment from Adam Martelletti(@adam_martelletti): @busmark_w_nika  when that time rolls around

🔥 How long is your streak?
... Mine s at 858 days and it s personal. Currently sitting at 858 days which puts me at #29 on the Product Hunt streak leaderboard. But here's the kicker: I once lost a streak of around 150+ days due to a slip-up. If that hadn t happened, I d likely be in the top 10 right now. Still stings a little Funny thing about the streak leaderboard it s kind of a zero-sum game. Like ... ... just finished 100 days of streak today! If you are building with WordPress in 2025, you probably haven’t heard of AI?🤔
... , . I think everyone heard the fact that 40-50% of the published websites in the world are made with WordPress just insane, as this means around 500 million websites. No, but honestly, I can no longer imagine a use case where you still start with WordPress and build a website today. Since 2003, people have built websites with WordPress, and it was once known for its easiness and affordability ... ... could build websites without learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. A whole ecosystem was built around

How we hit top #1 on Product Hunt— and what I’d change next time to achieve way better results
... could rewind, I d start pre-launching earlier. Here s what I d do differently: Make the PH coming soon page live early Start engaging on Reddit, PH forums, Discords, etc. Don t just promote start conversations around the problem you re solving People are tired of pure promo. What works now is meaningful discussion, authenticity, and showing your thinking. That builds trust before launch day. 2 Share something every day (or twice), Even if it feels like shitposting, post ... ... breaking it down! Totally agree on the importance of showing your thought process and not just the product. We launched Howdy today The biggest lesson for us was the power of conversations before launch day, genuinely connecting with people around

Does it make sense to be an entrepreneur building anything less than an A+ business?
