What’s the biggest value of launching on Product Hunt?
... hitting the top of the daily leaderboard. But let s put the trophy aside for a moment. What else does a good launch bring? From what I ve seen across multiple launches, teams usually find value in three key areas: Users : Whether it s hundreds or thousands, getting real people to sign up and try your product is always a win. Investor attention : It might not be a pitch deck, but strong performance on PH signals validation

Best practices I'm seeing for early product-market validation at MIT
... biggest questions every early-stage founder faces today is: How do I launch my startup in this new era of AI-driven product development? It s so easy to build quickly now. Do I build first or validate first? Personally, I ve seen hundreds of startups born in the past year. I m a grad student at MIT, and I created an AI accelerator for MIT and Harvard, so a lot of those startups have had amazing founding teams ... ... that you do not skip talking to customers. 3. Confirm the size and scope Once you find the core pain points, confirm how big and widespread they are. Get nuance on the trade-offs in terms of how users value

What’s one thing you wish someone had told you before validating your first idea?
... Everyone says Validate before you build , but no one tells you what that actually means until you re deep in it. Maybe you launched too soon, built too much before talking to anyone, or trusted feedback that sounded nice but meant nothing. Looking back, what s one thing you wish someone had told you when you were validating

When you can’t manage to vibecode it, it means you’re actually on the verge of creating real value
... time and while learning about low level video tech, we discovered a whole new field of possibilities. Turns out, not being able to vibe code any of it, was actually a great indicator of where we could bring meaningful value and innovation. Comment from Robin Guignard-Perret(@rguignar): @cristian_stoian_urzica  Such a nice tool to preserve the flow and avoid leaving the code editor for simple questions. As developers, LLMs shortcomings are great opportunities for real innovations ... ... think there is another flavour of vibe coding that doesnt get much attention atm. Extreme programming. Go as fast as you can on a hard problem. Ignore everything other than getting to a place where there is value

... Comment from Nika(@busmark_w_nika): @gin_6078  How did you price your product/service, if you have any? :) If you changed something in pricing, what was the reason? Comment from Nika(@busmark_w_nika): @pulin_yuuu  "I prefer value-based pricing"  does it mean that you have only a contact form/request demo form on your website and handle the price separately in private for each customer? How do you validate an AI-integrated SaaS idea before building too much?
... Then shared it on LinkedIn, indie hacker groups, and a couple of Reddit subs. This gave me: Early interest Skepticism (which helped a lot) The exact objections I need to solve 3. Let users try to pay The biggest validation for me wasn t signups, it was: Are users asking for a trial* or trying to subscribe even when there s friction? * Are they frustrated there's no live version yet? I offered no free plan , just a simple pricing ... ... Because: Most users don t care how* it works. They care if it saves them time or money. Build the wrapper, test the UX, then scale the AI logic. Curious to hear from you If you ve validated

Should you offer free access when launching a paid product on Product Hunt?
... launch on Product Hunt that require payment to actually use any features. No free trial, no freemium tier, just a download that leads straight to a paywall. Part of me thinks this makes sense. If your product has real value, why give it away? People on Product Hunt understand they're looking at premium tools. Plus offering free access can attract users who will never pay anyway. But I also see the argument for temporary free access during launch. Product ... ... trial that gives people enough time to evaluate during the launch buzz, but converts them to paid after. I've seen successful launches using all three approaches, but I'm curious what actually works better for building genuine momentum versus
