What the team at Tana has built is nothing short of revolutionary. As someone who has extensively experimented with virtually every personal knowledge management tool on the market - from Evernote to Capacities to Logseq to Roam Research, Tana stands in a league of its own. It's the only system I know of that has the ability to comfortably house any type of information I want to store. Prior to discovering Tana, my experience with PKM tools was consistently frustrating and felt constraining. I ended up with notes across dozens of tools, creating a hard to retrieve entangled mess of information that was absolutely crippling to my productivity.. Tana is the first tool that truly adapts to how my brain works, rather than forcing me to adapt to it. Its insane flexibility combined with its structured approach has allowed me to finally take control of my thought processes and knowledge management in a way that is hard to describe without experiencing it. And I have truly only scratched the surface of its incredible capabilities. While traditional note-taking apps are more like building an enterprise applications with just HTML, Tana enables you to actually "code" your thinking process through its ability to build compound structures, create reusable thought patterns, and link ideas programmatically – all while scaling with complexity. Its similar to how MacOS serves as the operating system while Python is used to program it. It's a transformative paradigm shift because once you learn to "code" your thoughts using Tana's framework, you will unlock entirely new ways of thinking that weren't previously possible with conventional note-taking methods. If other PKM tools are like standard vehicles, Tana is a Ferrari: precision-engineered, high-performance, and designed for those who demand the absolute best!!
Incredibly powerful! The ONE product that adapts to how I think and work! Capture ideas from anywhere AND resurface anything where ever you'll need it (without having to build that structure first). The beauty is: you can just start on a blank page every day and let the structure follow or adapt however you need it to work for you.
Tana is the note-taking tool of the future. It combines the best elements of an outliner and relational note-taking system, and integrates it with AI. 1000% worth checking out if you are a knowledge worker or creative.
Tana: The Last Productivity Tool You'll Need I have a rule when testing new software: never get too attached. Most tools overpromise, underdeliver, or simply don’t fit into my workflow long-term. When I first tried Tana, I assumed it would be another temporary experiment. That was nearly two years ago. At first glance, Tana might seem like just another outliner or note-taking app. But that assumption is like calling a smartphone "just a phone." Tana is a thinking tool, a productivity engine, and a no-code playground all rolled into one. It’s not about taking notes—it’s about creating systems that work the way you think. What sets Tana apart is its unmatched flexibility. Every month, I find myself replacing another tool because Tana does it better. Task management? Check. Research organization? Check. Knowledge management? Check. It doesn’t impose rigid structures—it lets you shape your own. Tana is different. It’s not trying to be an "Everything App"—not really—it just happens to be the best tool for an increasing number of things. If you're even a little curious, give it a try. You might be surprised how quickly it becomes the core of your workflow.
Tana is my everything app. I wouldn't know what to do without it. It is so easy to capture everything that is in my head and then with Supertags have Tana categorise it and bring it up again when I need it. And with AI & voice built in everything just moves so much faster.
I used Notion and Roam Research a lot, this is the perfect blend for me, for personal PKM, personal CRM, etc. Also can be very useful for task/project management! The slick integration of AI features have me excited and finding new insights, connections, and save me time I would have used before to tag/summarize/synthesize.
After going through the usual flotsam and jetsam of Roam Research, Obsidian, Capacities, Craft, Notion, etc I landed on Tana about 1 year ago. I absolutely adore the object-oriented approach to productivity. A little bit of a learning curve, but wow do I love this product! (no connection to the company just a user)
Jason Szesze Tana has been invaluable to me as a student. Being able to chat with my class notes is a game changer. Tana has solved most of my productivity downfalls and more importantly the need for multiple tools to do the job. If you can dream it, Tana can do it.
Tana is astounding. I've been using Tana for over 2 years, and changing my note-taking and life organization to Tana was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Tana is completely unique, living in a paradigm of it's own. Tana brings a mix of Software Engineering concepts with Knowledge Graph data structure, making it the perfect combination to successfully and holistically integrate AI with your notes and ideas. There are MANY comments I could make regarding Tana's features and possibilities, but I want to make this short. Tana provides a workspace where you can organize and connect anything with scandalous ease, AND has native integration with the best LLMs in the world. This is the future. Join while there's still time.
