How we raised £250k before launch (UK-focused, step-by-step, with some hacks)
... LinkedIn as a dealflow tool Search your 1st-degree connections for angel or investor. DM with self-awareness ( this is awkward, but ). You ll be surprised who replies. 3) The team slide matters more than you think Past mentors -> small equity for advisor roles. Signals credibility and plugs skill gaps early (for me: senior technical voices). 4) Build an investor FAQ doc Capture every question after calls. Sends a transparency signal and stops you repeating yourself. 5) Name ... ... domain expertise. sort of unrelated but how did you get 600 people onto a waitlist? Comment from Matt Carroll(@catt_marroll): im not in the UK so no real comment on that front.  im sure you considered bootstrapping vs

Founders, where did you find real guidance early on?
... darts in the dark. Especially so when you're building something enterprise-facing or education-focused: it s hard to know where to even look for non-technical direction. We ve mostly been applying to accelerators and incubators for mentorship and the occasional resource from university, but outside of that, I ve realized I have no real map now that we're finishing prototyping our product. Cold DMs help sometimes, and the internet s full of advice but most ... ... either assumes you're a growth god or already funded. So i m wondering, what's worked for you? Where have you actually found guidance, mentorship

YC deadline in <2 weeks; Who's applying?
... builders! You can check it out on ProductHunt if you re curious. Comment from Victoria Wu(@victoria_wu): I've heard so much about YC and often watch YC's YouTube videos. The vibe of building something alongside great mentors and a strong alumni community really excites me. I do wonder if there might be online batches in the future? I know YC has always been in-person and requires staying together for 3 months, but I d be thrilled ... ... early users and helped us validate and grow fast but now we re gearing up for the next level. YC would be the perfect environment to accelerate our growth, refine our GTM, and connect with top-tier founders and mentors

Do you use a coach, mentor, or just go it alone?
... show it to you and get you set up with that free account. Comment from Rohul Patel(@rohulp): @manu_goel2  It's AI based. Comment from Manu Goel(@manu_goel2): Seems interesting. Is it AI based or a mentor aggregation platform? Comment from Kaustubh Katdare(@thebigk): Having a coach is good; but frankly speaking - all the knowledge anyone needs is already available on the Internet in the form of free courses. You can lean all you know by simply ... ... grind. It's knowing which doors to kick down first. I've got the drive, but sometimes you need someone who's been there to help you see the bigger picture and cut through the noise. A solid mentor

Y Combinator - What it's ACTUALLY Like
... Founders of usedash.ai (Dhruv Roongta, Pranjali Awasthi, Harsha Gaddipati, left to right) YC Experience The most underrated part of YC isn't the funding or even the mentorship it's the batch. Being surrounded by 200+ other founders building everything from AI agents to biotech companies creates this unique energy. You're constantly learning from others' experiments, sharing resources, and pushing each other to move faster. Environment is quintessential in the startup world, and is an incredible motivator. When everyone ... ... climbing one of the easiest ways to improve is to start climbing with people that are better than you are! probably a lot of similarly in startups. Thanks for posting up! Will teachers' jobs disappear because of AI?
... davit_mkrtchyan): Hey! Very interesting question, I think this is a fascinating question about the future of education. While AI will certainly transform teaching, I believe humans will remain essential although role of teacher will be more like a mentor, or emotional support (why not?). As you ay know, you can have all the answers, but it matters only if you can spark interest in student Comment from Konrad S.(@konrad_sx): For some subjects, I think human teachers ... ... write by hand, and physical education of course. Also to prevent cheating in exams. Comment from PRIYANKA MANDAL(@priyankamandal): I think AI will definitely reshape the teaching role but great teachers do more than deliver information they inspire, mentor
