ZeroBlockers Docs β€” The speed and effectiveness of small teams even as you scale

Things break as companies scale. Agile frameworks focus on delivery and not the other organisational changes so companies often adopt the ways big companies work, which slows down teams. ZeroBlockers helps companies scale product teams without bureaucracy.

When growth hits, everyone is focused on keeping the lights on and keeping up with demand. The process is a secondary concern and the agile frameworks don't give any guidance on scaling anyway (the current scaling frameworks are just Waterfall in disguise) so water-scrum-fall becomes the standard. 90% of features fail to deliver the expected value. But the so-called experts proclaim: "If Agile isn't working, you're doing it wrong!". Well, if so many companies are doing it wrong then that's a problem with the current agile frameworks and not the companies. We've created what I wished I had when I was managing scaling teams: a guide that covers how to structure teams so that you can minimise dependencies between them, the process to go from research to awesome products, the funding and governance models that will appease finance and the internal structures that let you scale without blocking teams. We set up the UXDX conference 9 years ago to research how some companies have managed to scale and keep teams effective, outperforming their peers. We've codified over 800 case studies into the ZeroBlockers framework. We'd love your feedback on what you like, what you don't like and how we can improve teh docs and the framework. I'm really looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

Love the thoughtfulness and depth of the documents! It’s solving a real problem. Now, how do we get people to care?

@etaymor I think people care - but they're so busy with running their businesses that they don't have time to think through the intricacies of internal processes. They're looking for a framework - that's why Scrum and SAFe are so popular - they're off the shelf. The problem is they don't scale effectively. WE think we can offer an off-the-shelf option for people that actually helps them to scale while maintaining the speed and effectiveness of small teams. We've prioritised ease of implementation over trying to motivate people!

@rory_madden I think you are on point here. The comfort of having a framework or process to point to as the cure or potential cure is important. Small, cross-functional teams that are enabled by outcomes can do huge things! There is so much wasted potential so I hope this helps reduce waste in software and helps us deliver more value to both companies and end users πŸ‘ŠπŸΌπŸ‘ŠπŸΌπŸ‘ŠπŸΌ
