In my workflow, I wouldn't really need to use this, as is swear by boomerang for gmail. So I can tick a box "boomerang this if I don't get a reply by x date". Great work though stef
@_jacksmith yeah Boomerang is awesome - I'm just lazy and forget to click the thing.
This gives me a view on every single unreplied one - then I decide which ones to act on.
@_jacksmith Boomerang's pricing structure kept getting higher and higher, so I wanted to see what else existed. Turns out: Right Inbox looks and feels like a much more native Gmail integration so I stuck with it.
Worked on this on a couple of evenings. Not the most polished product but time isn't really abundant at the moment :)
Anyways, works well enough for what I had in mind.
Happy to answer any questions here!
@stefanobernardi Since you're somewhat of a BD man at Betable, how long have you wanted this for yourself? Before you built this, what, if anything, did you use for this same tracking/functionality?
This looks like a solid product, although I use a custom gmail label system inspired by this blog post that allows me to do the same thing + a fair amount more...for free :) http://klinger.io/post/716408459...
@ajwaxman Oh my, this is a beautiful use of Gmail - I didn't realise that's what the multi-inbox Lab feature could be used for, but I'm definitely going to give it a try. Thanks for sharing :)
Nice one @andreasklinger!
Nice work on this one @stefanobernardi. Very similar to the concept that Alex Moore and I worked through last year and built. Funny enough, the script by Jonathan Kim looks to be a derivative of that script too. In any case, nice work!
@stefanobernardi is it possible to move the label or change the name? I'd love to move it under [Mailbox] so that I can actually see these from on the go.
@mg I'm pretty sure you can move it without any problems once created. I use the label_id so I don't really care where it is or what it's named - so if Gmail doesn't change the label_id you'll be fine.
@riaface@danerobert thanks! I would generally agree, but given this is a set-and-forget it product + a side project where I won't have too much marketing / re-engagement effort - I decided to go at it this way.
My buddy @hijonathan came up with a Google Script that does this awhile back (free): http://jonathan-kim.com/2013/Gma...
I've been using it since then, and haven't looked back at any CRM.
Thanks for the shoutouts (@kchau, @_jacksmith@mg). Just glad I could help move us closer to a solution to this problem.
@stefanobernardi love the quick execution! Mostly, I'm just glad someone finally made this into a business :D
FWIW, I personally still prefer my version since nothing leaves Gmail. Email privacy and security is so important, especially when getting access to a bank, social or business account is as simple as hitting "Forgot Password." Context.io definitely helps simplify things, but ultimately, they're still reading your email:
"As soon as a mailbox is connected, we create a metadata index of its content starting from the most recent emails which become available from the API within seconds."
If you're interested in extending the stuff I've already done using Google Scripts, I highly recommend checking out the docs on how to publish it as a web app: https://developers.google.com/ap....
Keep crushing it!
@hijonathan thanks dude! Depending on how it goes I might just switch to that :)
I've tried using context.io but it sucked.
While I don't read the emails, I certainly could with the access I have, so trust is def a point.

Also found a bunch leads that had to have been at least 6 months old that I followed up with and converted one. So that was pretty awesome.
Pros:I found all the emails to people that had been buried In my sent folder.
Cons:Wish they had the ability to sign up my entire company using google apps or something.
