I love coding, but man, taking breaks is essential. How do you guys avoid burnout?

Its simple but hard to do. Convince your brain that running a machine non-stop for 7 days will yield more production now but cause damage down the line. Better run it for 7 hrs/day. Rather for coding, code for 4-5 hrs and spend 2-3 hrs brainstorming on the process. Dont straight away open the editor and start coding.

I will take a 20-minute walk outside to breathe in some fresh air and connect with nature. Working indoors for extended periods necessitates some outdoor activity to relax both the mind and body.

When I get burned out I turn my phone off or take all work apps off until my mental health returns. Easy but surprisingly effective. Keeping work siloed to my computer helps me not carry it around with me all of the time.

I take a couple days break from coding or work on the creative/marketing aspects of a project.

Coding is brutal for the brain. The remedy? Sleep more, deeper, and harder. It's the only balancer.
