Good question, I'm also curious about what techniques others use. Personally, I try to take a break and reassess my initial plan, looking for new solutions.

Things don't always go as planned. While I can't change what has happened, I can embrace uncertainty , trust myself and adapt my plans moving forward.

Personally, I need some time to stay with my disappointment. So, I give myself few hours or few days to feel whatever comes. It's uncomfortable, but deep down, I know it's temporary and I always find a way to come back to my mojo!
