Compared with the prestigious chrome extension Webtime Tracker, Timer has richer and more powerful functions and features. First, Timer works with Chrome, Edge, and Firefox, while Webtime Tracker only works in Chrome. Using it, you can not only know the time spent on each website every day, but also the number of visits, and the most frequent time period of the Internet each day, so as to gain insight into your own surfing habits. And you can also set rules with Timer to limit the time you spend on the specified website every day, to change your habits. In terms of user experience, you can appreciate the design aesthetics of modern UI frameworks in Timer through two functional pages. One is that you can quickly view today's statistics through a pie chart in the popup page that appears when you click the icon. The other is that you can comfortably use the full functionality in a complete background page. And dark mode always prevents your eyes from straining in above pages, provided this feature is enabled in the options by yourself manually. Finally, user data generated by Timer will only be stored in local storage, but you can export them as csv or json files. You can also use the synchronization tool provided by Timer to synchronize the data generated by multiple browsers to Github Gist, and then aggregate the query in the background page. p.s. Thanks to all users and their feedback, Timer has an average score of 4.98 out of 5 across all extension/addon marketplaces.
