👋 Hi folks! Buffer Time is live 🚀 We were inspired to create Buffer Time after seeing too many people struggle to get the breaks and prep time they so badly need between their Zoom calls. Working from home is the new normal, and we're not going back to a different reality anytime soon. Our lives and our work have become inextricably merged. We're closer to our families and our homes, and yet our work-life balance is suffering. Reclaim can do a ton to help you automate your calendar and take back your time, and this is just one very simple example of it! Here's a quick look at how Buffer Time works, and what it can do for you: 🗓 Auto-block time after your video conferences 🧠 Reclaim intelligently detects meetings with conference links 💪 Buffers flexibly adjust and move as your schedule changes 💬 Adjust your Buffer Time lengths on-the-fly in Slack To get started, just sign up, onboard to Reclaim, and turn Buffer Time on in Reclaim's Settings! We've been having an awesome time building the future of time management, and we can't wait to hear your feedback. Cheers, The Reclaim Team

@henry_shapiro love that you keep improving Reclaim. I've just checked out my settings and can't see Decompression Time underneath Travel Time :( Are you doing a phased rollout?
Patrick Lightbody
@henry_shapiro @marat_levit Apologies about that. The rollout is indeed phased for existing users (on by default for new). Check your account now.

@plightbo thanks for very much for that. Come up now. You guys are kicking goals in regards to feature releases, keep them coming. One piece of small feedback regarding Buffer Time. I noticed a decrompression session was booked in after my VC meeting, but straight after I have lunch (also booked in by Reclaim). So probably don't need the decompression session if lunch is already booked in say within 15 or 30 minutes of the VC meeting.

The adaptive nature is incredible!

@jmartens Thanks Jeff. We put a lot of effort into making Reclaim do the job you'd expect. So we start with the buffer (if you opted into it), but then later if it appears some of our other features overlap with it (ex: a lunch habit, travel time, or a personal commitment appears), we can remove the buffer. Similarly, we can also bring it back if circumstances change again. And, if someone calendar slams you and invites you to a meeting over the buffer and you reluctantly accept it, we'll remove the buffer too. Maybe in the future we'll add a little feature to send a "shame" email to the original offender 🤣

Hi there! Sounds interesting. I have a calendar system.in which my leads take slots to meet with me (through youcanbook.me). Is there a way with Buffer time, that I could automatize booking a 15/30m slot after each of those booked slots from my clients? E.g. Jake from Google books a sales call with me from 2-2:30 and in order to avoid Greta from Facebook to book from 2:30-3 and potentially run late from one meeting to the other, Buffer time would automatically add a "break" once Jake booked (before and after). Thanks in advance :)

@whereisjorgenow I think this would work exactly as you intend, provided that the meetings have a videoconference link on them. Anytime we see a meeting get added to your calendar that has one of those links on it, we add Buffer Time. Give it a try!

?makers is Google Chat integration on the roadmap by any chance? Would love to beta test if it is :D
Henry Shapiro
@maratlevit Not yet -- we have a very powerful Slack integration, but the demand isn't there for GChat yet. Someday!
