Hi, I'm Janna, the co-founder of ProdPad, and the makers of this new Sandbox environment for exploring and learning the product as well as seeing some product management best practices in play. This Sandbox came out of an experiment we ran. We wanted to create a space where new ProdPad trialists could see how an account would look like with data already in place, ready to interact with. What we discovered, however, is that it's serving a much wider purpose - it's a training and learning aide for anyone who wants to see how product roadmaps, OKRs, experiments/ideas, customer feedback, and other elements all hang together. Since soft launching it, we've had people from all different backgrounds using it to learn and share, so we're proud to launch it here today, along with an exclusive discount for those of you who want to jump over and start your own ProdPad account. Thanks for your upvote and your πŸ˜ƒ reviews! They mean the world to us, and we look forward to hearing your feedback. Happy ProdPadding! Janna

Hi. I was an early adopter of your product for my team at a large scholarly publishing and information analytics company. Glad to see this and that you’re going strong. I look forward to checking this out and to see how the product has evolved in general.

This product really was over kill. The reason we had it was because a team member refused to use another ticketing product. I found this product to have really bad flexibility. I felt really constrained by it and no one really contributed much to the ideas. We later dumped it for Jira and a Spreadsheet.

@dominic_francis Hey Dominic, sorry you had a bad experience with ProdPad! From what you've said, it sounds like your colleague chose it to solve the wrong problem, so I don't blame you for finding it to not suit your purpose. ProdPad isn't a replacement for Jira or other ticketing systems. Jira is a tool for managing delivery work, and is useful for task management for development work, eg. for teams working in agile sprints. ProdPad isn't a delivery tool at all, it's a *discovery* tool, and it sits upstream from Jira. ProdPad is more about outlining the problems that the business and customers face, and using a variety of tools (OKRs, lean roadmapping, impact vs effort prioritization, etc.) to determine the best way to solve those problems - and then to send the things _to do_ over to Jira where the development team can work on delivery. Here's a doc that outlines where ProdPad fits, in the more product strategy and delivery end of things: https://help.prodpad.com/article... Most people who use ProdPad use it *with* Jira, not instead of it. I hope that helps clarify how to get the most out of it!

The best part of ProdPad is that it is a Product Management tool that is opinionated in a way that helps you do best-practice PM'ing (most other tools that people use does exactly the opposite). Especially for junior PMs, it is a great tool to help you think about product management in a good way. Having the learnings in a SandBox is a great idea :)

Great Product. As a PM this would be very useful to have everything you need in one place. One stop shop for PM's

Kudos for launching the product

WOW. Being student who aspires to enter PM field in the future, this looks really amazing. 1. Love that I can just dive straight in (without signing in) to see what this website has to offer. 2. Great examples! What I think lack in many PM resources is concrete examples on how a product roadmap can be done, what is product specification, how to do documentation, etc, etc. Love it that there are a few pseudo company/products already in here for us to check it out. 3. Signed up! :) Would love it if there's a free tier (maybe for students like myself who use it mainly for learning purposes, and potentially pay to use it in the future) 4. Tried signing up with Google/Slack at first, but I wasn't comfortable with the seemingly many access & control rights given to the app. Great product! Recommended.

@daryllman That's great to hear Daryll! I'm glad the many examples included help show off how a product team shapes their work. Really love that you dived right in - we designed the flow to be super frictionless. No sign up, no fuss, just pure product goodness from the moment you enter. Thanks for the feedback about trying out our core product, ProdPad. The Google/Slack permissions are necessary if you want those intergrations/log in options, but really power up your account by making it possible for your whole team to jump in with zero friction, and to sync files or conversations through, etc. So basically, a one time thing to make the whole experience better. The email sign up flow asks very little of you, and you can always add in the Google and Slack integration options later, if it's a bit much up front. The Sandbox should give you a good idea of what you get with ProdPad itself, as it includes all of the core functionality like roadmaps, OKRs, idea and feedback management, etc. The main app adds a lot more though, including collaboration and discussions, a nifty AI tool that matches and deduplicates ideas and feedback, and options for publishing your work to stakeholders across the business - a real powerhouse for product teams. Hope to see you on ProdPad in the future, Daryll! Let us know if we can ever help with anything.

Love it! We are just starting to work with ProdPad at Livespace. This Sandbox might be helpful to explain how to use the product, what we can get out of it.
