2) how does your team prioritize what to build? what didn't get built that your team really wanted to include?
We listen to feedback from the developers who use Parse, and we prioritize the things that are going to make the biggest impact on making life easier for them. There’s always more that we’re building, and of course not everything we’re working on could be launched today, but we’re really excited to share our new products and tools with developers at F8 — and stay tuned for more from us in the future.
1) what inspired the new updates what's the underlying philosophy behind them?
At Parse, our mission is to make app development easier across platforms and devices. Everything we announced today is geared toward that. For example, with Parse for IoT, we’re making it easier for developers to build apps for connected devices using Parse tools. With Enhanced Sessions, it’s easier for developers to build secure experiences for those connected devices, as well as for other apps. With Parse + React, developers can now access and store Parse data from React applications — so it’s super easy to build apps with React, which we know many developers want to do. Overall, with all of our tools, we aim to take care of as much as we can on the back end, so developers can focus on building a great user experience in their apps.
