You can tag people or be very active in the comments to make sure you share the same topics of interest

Look at some of the twitter pages that the people you want to attract have, and see which hashtags they frequent. Then use the same hashtags on your posts.

Different people approach Twitter in different ways. As a casual user, I use it simply as a source of enjoyment and escapism.
