We have developed factor investing software to apply factor investing and factor strategies* in the real investment world.
Our aim is to translate theoretical knowledge into investment practice, enabling analysts and investors to build portfolios more efficiently. The tool is being developed jointly with Masaryk University and Mendel University in Brno.

*Factor investing (FI), also known as smart beta investing, is an investment approach that aims to enhance portfolio performance by targeting specific factors or characteristics that drive returns in the market.
By incorporating these factors into investment strategies, investors can potentially achieve better risk-adjusted returns than by traditional index investing.
For example, excess returns can be achieved by investing in stocks with a low valuation ratio (value factor) or stocks that have shown strong price performance in the past (momentum factor).

The factor strategies can be particularly useful when you managing your own factor based index, say "low volatility". The tool makes it super easy to pick the appropriate factor and keep the always up-to-date list of constituents ready for you. The strategy settings then lets you craft the investment portfolio how you want it, so you can keep your management cost down.

To answer your question, the insights from both universities have been integrated into our tool since the very beginning, these are mostly about new useable factors/indicators, using different approaches and models in multifactor investing. It would be helpful to have a detailed guide or video tutorial available to get started quickly and make the most of the trial period.

@liora_lyons thanks a lot for the great idea. Our current MVP version is still a bit user-unfriendly, so we still need to work a lot on the UI.
For this reason, as far as possible, we let users into the application after a short call, where we show them how to use the application. But we should probably create a video for the current version as well.
