How Building Countless Products Changed My Perspective
... everyone, I m Craig. I have spent many years building products after products. Some were functional and polished others were half-finished experiments that never saw the light of day. Each one taught me something different, from how to move faster to how to simplify ideas and how to spot when to keep going or when to cut my losses. I never set out to collect unfinished projects but over time I realized those builds gave me the experience ... ... testing. The process itself has become just as valuable as the outcomes. Comment from Ryan Dean(@ryan_dean): Hey Craig, what sort of products have you created or enjoy creating the most? Any reason why some were left half-finished

That "Almost Ready" Feeling...
... suddenly you re redesigning the dashboard. You optimize a feature, and now the entire user flow feels outdated. You finally finish onboarding, and now you re rewriting your welcome email at midnight. Sound familiar? I m in that weird zone right now, too far in to stop, too close to call it finished

👋 Hey Product Hunt — I’m a solo builder on a mission to finish more than I start
... called CycleUp , a solo sprint system that helps indie builders and vibe coders stay focused on one goal at a time. You pick a 2 or 6 week cycle, track habits + daily check-ins, and actually celebrate when you finish. It s currently in beta . I m looking for: Honest feedback Solo makers who want to test it Insights on what would make it worth paying for If that sounds interesting, here s the beta: https://preview--cycle-up-unlock... I built a focus system for solo makers who bounce between too many projects (guilty 🙋‍♀️)
... just released a beta of something I wish I had when I started building solo: It s called CycleUp a simple, gamified goal tracker for indie builders and vibe coders who want to actually finish what they start. How it works: - You choose one goal per cycle (2 or 6 weeks) - Track habits + daily progress - See it all in a visual dashboard - Celebrate when you finish

Coding with an AI IDE (visual) vs AI CLI (Terminal), what's better?
... vibe coder angle! I ve had similar moments toggling between visual comfort and CLI efficiency, Cursor s visual clarity is great for quick edits, but Gemini CLI with Warp feels like it s reading your intent before you even finish typing. Haven t fully settled into a combo flow yet, but loving how these tools make deeper tinkering more inviting even for non-devs. Comment from Dheeraj(@dheerajdotexe): I feel you, Cursor s visual vibe is perfect for precise tweaks ... ... recently doing a hybrid: Gemini for scaffolding and things like that, but Cursor still works just fine when I need fine-grained control. I need a better flow though, I'm not gonna lie. Comment from vishal pandey(@vshpandey96

Fieldy Hands On Review: Can this AI Wearable help my ADHD brain remember tasks and save my marriage?
... noticeable. My style is a bit loose fit, so if you re used to muscle shirts or a tighter fit, this won t be an option for you. My first impression of the actual device was that the plastic finish felt a little underwhelming, especially if you re used to the polish of Apple or Nothing devices. This made me want to hide the device vs

One Reddit comment delayed my MVP by 3 weeks and made it 10x better
... everything. I spent the next 3 weeks rethinking the entire product. I rebuilt Quala from time-based feedback forms to contextual, behavior-driven micro-prompts: User stuck on a setup step? Trigger a simple Was this clear? Leaving before finishing onboarding? Show: Still looking for something? Abandoned an upload? Ask why, while it s still fresh. This version captures rich behavioral context, so the feedback is not just honest, it s actionable. The launch could still flop. But honestly ... ... Thankfully, this was not your case but be careful there :D Comment from Adam Martelletti(@adam_martelletti): Curious from a product perspective, how are developers expected to define the triggers? Lots of variables here. Elements, user events, one-time vs

I designed the World’s First Agentic Development Environment - AMA about Warp 2.0
... philosophy at Warp is that over the next year the process of developers starting off projects editing code by hand in IDEs will become relatively obsolete and most coding tasks will start with a prompt (and many will be finished by one). It s a strong take - but that s the future we re building towards at Warp. Our entire team is super thankful for all the love and support that we ve gotten from the Product Hunt community ... ... need to continue to be efficient with it. Maybe when I have the time, I can look further into using Warp for more. Comment from Eric Chen(@ericdachen): Right now I'm using Warp for larger diffs and VSCode

Lessons from finishing #1 on a day two products passed 1,000 upvotes - for the first time in 2025
... First, thank you. Everyone who voted, commented, or tried Chronicle . You helped us with a #1 finish in our first official launch on the same day Bubble also crossed 1000 votes. Massive gratitude As a first-time founder, this was a special day. I would love to share what we've learnt. And would love to hear how we can do better, both in growing Chronicle and in improving the product itself. Positioning Pivot: Cursor for Slides Karpathy s weekend ... ... honestly brilliant. It made Chronicle instantly click for a lot of people (myself included), and it's a great example of how fast, reactive positioning can shift momentum. Comment from Hamza Afzal Butt(@hamza_afzal_butt): Massive congrats, Tejas finishing

I got tired of pretending to be productive. So I built an app that forces me to work.
... broken at execution. The will to build is there. The system to protect that will doesn t exist. Planning tools are abundant. Discipline systems are nonexistent. We don t need more dashboards. We need something that forces us to finish. What FORGE does: It starts simple: You set a mission write, build, ship, code You pick your app Notion, Notes, Obsidian, Xcode FORGE locks you into that app. Literally. Then it gets intense: Try to switch? Your phone screams. Loud ... ... where the biggest startup risk is silent productivity collapse Full execution dashboard: revenue pipeline + product focus + time integrity in one place Eventually: FORGE becomes the execution layer of your second brain. An anti-distraction regime that forces builders to finish

Skype closed down - here are top 6 Skype alternatives for international calls

Anyway, here I ve compiled a list of the top 6 alternatives to Skype for international calling. I used the following criteria to select them: VoIP-based . Elephant in the room of non-technical vibe coders - Vibe Debugging
... have a technical background, and the learning curve of software engineering is pretty steep. It would be too much of an ask to investigate stacktrace and come up with sound debugging instructions. They are not comfortable with the VS-Code like IDE, and do not have confidence reviewing a diff. What option is it out there to help them succeed? My first instinct is to build a debugging AI agent specialized in various types of issues. But after helping ... ... vibe coders get their apps across the finish

My non-AI app made $8000 USD in 2 months. Here’s how I did it
... video calls, but there was a niche of people who used Skype to make cheap international calls to mobile and landline numbers. That was a golden opportunity major playing leaving the market, and its users scrambling for an alternative. That s how I made Yadaphone. I took one feature of Skype I used myself making cheap overseas calls, and created a website that allowed people to do it. Launch I built an MVP in a weekend. The design was minimalist ... ... people upvoting Yadaphone. I panicked and started spamming about it in all my social media. I also sent an email to all my existing users and it was super helpful. I built a 3-hour audiobook streaming platform.  Part 1. Here's how i build it.
... people don t build because they overthink . They want it to be perfect , beautiful , VC-ready , viral on launch day. And then they never published. I ve been that guy . I ve had 100 ideas sitting in Notion. Half-finished Figma files. Codebases with two commits and a README that says coming soon . But one night, I just got tired of it. Tired of waiting for the right time. Tired of convincing myself I needed more resources, a team ... ... learn something while doing real life stuff. I love books. Notes from a failed Product Hunt launch
... wake up to thousands of sign ups and the Product of the Day badge. The reality was very different. We saw a tiny boost in sign ups, got stuck at around 200 upvotes, and to top it off, finished below a food blender. Thankfully the story didn t end there. Balancing your work life with free time (digital detox and the effects on your work results)

How do you handle AI's limitations when it comes to getting things done?
... while back, I noticed a problem: AI is great at starting tasks but not at finishing them.  It drafts, automates, and processes, but when it comes to real execution? Humans still make the difference. We've seen AI generate ideas, summarize documents, and even write code, but can it truly be trusted to complete a job without human intervention?  Whether it's marketing, design, writing, or development, AI often does the grunt work, but experts still need ... ... best bring creativity, empathy, and strategic thinking to the table. Comment from Nika(@busmark_w_nika): It seems that AI has the same problem as me  I am good at starting things, but it is worse for finishing

How (not) to gather first users when you are an unknown brand. May be helpful to new product makers
... have testimonials from people yet, use a video where you demonstrate the product; ideally show your face too human aspect. It s better to let people test the product for free because it might not be technically finished yet, viz. my experience. Instagram's Edits vs. TikTok's CapCut?
... Threads was formed by trying to compete with X, when there was an exodus of people from X(formerly twitter) after twitter was changed to X. If you build a product by focusing on how to outcompete your competitor, you don't end up winning with your audience. If you build a product with the mindset of improving upon yourself constantly based on feedback and customer review you win the audience. Philosophy behind this Finite
