I start my work with a 5mn warm-up:
- I train my typing speed with Monkeytype
- I train keyboard shortcuts with KeyCombiner
It's easy to do and it conditions me to get into the work. Obviously knowing the keyboard shortcuts and typing faster are a real advantage.
Cold shower for energy and dopamine release. Andrew Huberman explained well how it works.
Daily ritual when I capture
1. What I achieved or learned yesterday
2. What obstacles I faced and what did I do about it
3. Set a daily goal
Italian coffee is the first thing everyone should drink before you start your work, it oils the joints plus it ignites the brain bringing to the surface new ways of doing things
Assuming I have made my bed and visited the washroom...
I would check my emails, socials, and to-do list while enjoying my hot chocolate (I'm not a coffee person) with a steamy rice cake.
I wake up at 8.30am do my necessary things to go to the office.
At 9.40am I go to the office it's 20min ride. Do you standup meeting with lead while having coffee. That how my work day starts.
1. Snooze wake-up alarm
2. Wake up abruptly
3. Check the time and realize that I shouldn't have snoozed
4. Stretch
5. Make coffee
6. drink coffee while reading the news & messages
7. Then start work
I meditate, prepare coffee and start reviewing memories created the previous day in my noteking app so as to confirm that these will be the items on which I will be focusing this day.
I check my Slack notifications to get up to date with what I had missed. Then I check my emails. I quickly have a look at LinkedIn. Then a little bit of Product Hunt. Then, plan what needs to be done for the day, and get started!
