Zero (iOS) works with most popular email providers, including Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, Outlook and iCloud. I always try to keep a clean inbox so will see if this helps.

I like the archive automatically mentality once you've read it. Personally I'm a big Mailbox.app fan, but this may be a great tool to get through massive inbox counts from time to time.
