Workspaces organises (links to) your resources (files, folders, emails, apps and whatever it takes), so you can open them up with a single click. Every single time.
I bought Workspaces 1 and like it but it's not as useful as I had hoped (for my use case) because it cannot open links in specific Firefox Containers.
Firefox Containers are basically a way to have multiple instances of the browser running at the same time, each with its own cache. So if I have, say, 3 clients, each with their own separate log in info for a certain website, I can have a container for each client. That way, i don't have to log out of my own account in order to log in to a client's amount!
Is there any chance you'll support this use case in the future?
@anna_0x This is what's keeping me from using Workspaces. In my job I use Firefox Containers and/or MS Edge profiles to work in browsers using different account. Would love to see support for this (or acknowledgement that it is scriptable).
Hi everyone! 👋
Myriads of files within multiple projects. Finding things every single time. Launching them one by one.
Is something always missing? Frustrating, huh?
Not being able to find any satisfying app resolving this issue, we decided to create Workspaces. This app lets you organise things in workspaces (folders / projects) and launch them with one click. Create a workspace, drag and drop items to it. Choose which resources should be accessed with a Start button. The other one you can still launch manually. All in one place.
This is a completely new release. We redesigned the whole app and added lots of new features. The greatest new thing are plugins which allow to extend Workspaces with new types of resources, so you can launch shell scripts, play favourite music or quit unnecessary apps.
We had lots of ☕️ and 🧉 to make this app. And we are super happy to hear that it completely changes people’s comfort of work. It will be our honour if you love it, too. 😊
I have SetApp, but after installing this it won't let me get past the license agreement. The popup is completely blank and there are no buttons to push.
@titusdecali We found that and already fixed. It appears on 10.15. Unfortunately, on Setapp build only, so wasn’t obvious to discover. Anyway, we were waiting until the build is approved and I’ve just received information that it will be (or already is) live very soon
