Apple allows you to do the same using Keyboard shortcuts. Settings->General->Keyboard->shortcuts. I tried this app the other day. Don't find an incentive to use another app when Apple allows us to do it in a simpler way.

@kwdinc hey Kevin. Totally understand it's not for everyone. The keyboard allows for multiple lines and new lines so you can have things like email templates. You also don't have to try and remember the shortcuts. I've had heaps of people send feedback about it being much more convenient than the shortcuts, but understand your point. Thanks for the feedback!

@stuartkhall I still have the app. One thing i hate about shortcuts is they have small text field for word/phrase entry. So its hard to see what you have typed for things like email templates, Address, hashtags in shortcuts. Wordboard could be useful in such cases. Good luck :)

@kwdinc thank you :)

Stuart, love this app - great work! I've added a couple of shortcuts once I bought the pro version. Here are somethings I'm curious to know: 1) What happens when a user has like over a dozen items and the real estate of the keyboard? (Also, a search would be nice once a user has a lot of items? I think gifboard has this option) 2) The abc keyboard is not easy to use as its smaller than Apple's 'nice big number/letters'. I have to switch keyboards if I need to use that. 3) Curious to know how others have used/hacked this like using it to quickly type logins/passwords, sharing twitter/facebook/linkedin handles, etc. 4) How about a button for pasting (whatever is current)? Let me know your thoughts :)

@raj_ventures thanks! 1. A little paging control appears and you can swipe between pages. Search is on the future list. 2. Totally agree, it's pretty hard to replicate all the niceties of the Apple keyboard, I'm improving it but I personally switch back to the stock keyboard. 3. I've had a few requests for encryption and a pin lock, it wasn't my initial intention to do secure words so I am still thinking through that one. 4. Great idea. Thanks for the questions!

Hey everyone, I am the one that made this app / keyboard. I've submitted an update with iPad support that's waiting for review. Let me know what you think.

cool project! I loved it from the beginning, although there are some newer alternatives for sales and marketing which are better for those purposes https://www.wordboard.co
