I think you unearthed a real problem. There is this perverse incentive in corporate america. People want to be honest but they don't want to give feedback that will pick a scab or cause problems for their company especially if it could risk their job. Very often it is this very feedback that the company needs to hear. Like a corporate prisoner's dilemma
@kyum_kim have you done work WITH these companies? Meaning WRT to the prisoner's dilemma above. I think there should be a channel for relevant critical feedback, not gossip, to be vetted and prioritized to help the company but it is a very fine line and the employee must be safe. I scoped out a service for this and have a bunch of thoughts here. Would love to discuss further. Please send me a note mike@mikesmith.me and I'm happy to share more. Very passionate about this
This is like a YikYak + Slack, but gives far more powerful place for employees to be interacted each other anonymously. Really cool app for all professionals. Great job ๐
Hello fellow hunters! Today we are excited to announce the launch of our new product, Blind Pulse with a mission to make employee true sentiments accessible to the public.
๐งจ Problem
Employee engagement surveys are broken. Currently, engagement surveys are administered by the company, for the company, within the company. There is no incentive to be honest; The employees who answer the internal survey questions never get any insight into how their peers respond. They have no idea what the data is being used for. And even if they do get a recap, professionals have nothing to benchmark those numbers against; how does their company stand amongst other talent competitors?
๐ช Solution
We ask the exact same questions to 4.3M verified professionals on Blind. The questionnaire asks you to give your honest ratings on your company, leadership, work-life balance, compensation, and more.
You share your sentiment and gain access to the results of your company and other companies. With Pulse, you can now see how your peers truly feel about your company and also how other professionals feel about theirs.
At Blind, our mission towards transparency breaks down professional barriers - empowering informed decisions and inspiring productive change in the workplace. Please let us know your feedback and what we can do to make the product even better going forward. Thanks so much for trying it out :)
@daryllman Yes definitely. The Blind community only collects responses from verified employees at these companies. People who use Blind are daily visitors making it possible for us to dive into evolving trends triggered by events.
Looks like this has a lot of potential. Does Blind Pulse (intend to) take into account the differences in business culture that may exist in different country branches of one company?
