Years back I needed to learn a new dev framework. Seems like a to-do list is the popular first thing to build. So I sat down and drew from my own experience as a software engineer, product manager, dad, homeowner, and human being to figure out what it should do. Most important was that it needs to prioritize all my to-dos objectively. I tend to do the easiest, or quickest, or most self-gratifying tasks first - often ignoring the harder ones that could have the biggest positive impact on my life. Whenable uses a simple scoring and weighting algorithm to do that, and that part is free. Then it needed to help me track projects, big goals, my bucket list, and prioritize those amongst my regular to-dos. Lastly, knowing big tasks can be overwhelming, it needed a little AI to break those into smaller pieces to seem less intimidating.

Nice - seems like it could be useful for the hopelessly ambitious like myself. Really like the idea of breaking the life goals down into more manageable chunks to make them less intimidating.

Congratulations on your launch! Why did you choose to use weighted scoring instead of other methods?
Cody Riddar
@ekaterina_sizova Thanks Ekaterina! I used weighted scoring to create an objective roadmap at a past position and the results were very successful. So I started with that here. However prioritization scoring is an area of Whenable that I expect to make even smarter over time, and perhaps utilize AI
