Hi Product Hunt!
We're John & Asa, the founders of Voicepanel.
Voicepanel helps product teams with their most important task: understanding their users.
With AI tools, it's possible to ship products faster than ever. Millions of new products will be released to the world this year. It's an exciting time to build, but the reality is that the vast majority of products will fail because they miss the mark on what users want.
For decades companies have used basic surveys to keep pulse on their customers and people are tired of them. The smartest product teams talk to their users constantly, but scheduling user interviews for every micro product decision is an impossible task.
Voicepanel delivers detailed feedback from users for you over voice, video, or screen share. Think of Voicepanel as a user researcher that's observing & listening to your users 24/7. You don't have to write any surveys or schedule interviews - just tell Voicepanel what you want to learn and get detailed responses & reports in Slack.
Over the past year, we've worked to automate a rigorous research process end-to-end to help brands to understand their customers better. We’re now focused on evolving Voicepanel to an agent you just "turn on" for your product and start getting insights immediately. We recently launched the ability to embed Voicepanel in your web app, and native mobile support will be coming soon.
Asa and I set out to solve problems we've always had as product builders, and we're excited to share our progress with you. If you're interested in what we're building, go to voicepanel.com to create your free account. If you have any feedback or questions for us, drop them in the comments below and we'll respond when we can!
@masump for sure. Voicepanel asks probing questions based on the respondents' answers. If responses are vague, it asks for clarification. All of this can be customized with probing guidance.
Congratulations on the launch, and excellent video btw. Finding key users for feedback has been a challenge for us over the years. Hoping Voicepanel will help us address that with ease.
@shehbaz_afzal thanks for checking us out!
Congrats on the launch, @john_provine1 ! Been following Voicepanel for some time. Could you share your favorite cases where companies were able to leverage your tools to improve their products or metrics?
@aldiyar great question. We've seen product teams use Voicepanel in a lot of different ways, which has been exciting but has also presented challenges for us. Below are some of the use cases where our customers are getting the most value today:
- Getting customer input on new product concepts before building (prototypes, images)
- Conducting usability sessions over screen share to uncover key issues - e.g. onboarding flows
- Interviewing 100s of churned subscribers across international markets
Our product includes several templates to get started with these.

Awesome work!!!
I remember chatting when you were first getting started (thanks for bearing with me in those loooong Slack threads 😅) and I'm so amazed by how far Voicepanel has come!
At Gamma, we've used Voicepanel to help us gather feedback that where we want more nuance and depth than a survey can provide, but where a live research call may not be practical or necessary. The probing questions mean that we can get a depth that would otherwise be difficult to capture — and one of the coolest things is being able to leverage the translation features to gather feedback from customers around the world (previously a challenge for our primarily English-speaking team)!
Looking forward to future collabs and seeing what you guys do next ✨🎉✨
@alisonbemis we're grateful for all the detailed feedback you've given us - it's really helped to push our product forward! Love working with the @Gamma team.
Hey john! congrats on the launch - absolutely love this direction for voicepanel. my team joined yc working on automated customer feedback embedded into products so thought a lot about this space. we've since pivoted to something else but super exciting to follow your story :)
@reginaclin glad you like the new direction! Dexterity looks amazing and we'll check it out. If you'd like to trade notes happy to chat.

Appreciate the support @aliabbasrizvi!
Magic Hour
We're early users of Voicepanel at Magic Hour, and we've been very happy. The team is amazing and they've helped us with things from usability tests to user surveys. Getting insights from users and turning them into actionable insights is really hard, especially for startups, and a product like this does wonders for allowing founders to scale. Congrats on the launch!
@runs awesome working with you guys!
Big congratulations for the launch John & Asa! Excellent video and cool product. Understand user feedback is the most important problem for startups, great to see you build voicepanel to solve it!
@jing_conan_wang2 thanks Jing!
Congrats on the launch John and Asa! Looks and feels like a really big value add for teams. The best products are powered by user feedback. Exciting stuff!
Kraftful
Congrats @john_provine1 and team! Excited to check it out.
@yanaw thanks so much! Big admirer of what you've built at @Kraftful
Awesome service we use to get feedback from our customers with our startup, Fairway Finder.
Congratulations on the product launch! In my opinion, the bigger challenge is motivating users to leave feedback. I hope you're focusing on that aspect as well. Wishing you success!
@dilpo thanks for the support. Agreed with you it's a challenge - 97% of people don't ever fill out surveys. Getting the incentives aligned is a core part of the problem we're setting out to solve.
Knowing the user is what requires optimal efforts over research and making that research better with tech will surely reduce the rate of failures final reach
