Welcome, @nickgrosvenor! Nice shout out to General Assembly. We have several GA folks in the community, including @nbashaw.
While the product is very early I like your direction! Whenever I visit reddit, I often gravitate to anything linked to imgur.com. You've essentially focused on that vertical, creating a site for image-only subreddits. cc @liveink, @abramdawson
What's your plan for the site?
Hello there,
So me and my business partner started learning how to code late last year. We were having a hard time trying to find someone, so we finally bit the bullet and went through a 3 month long coding course called General Assembly.
Here's a web app I've been working on, thought it would be cool to let everyone on product hunt know about it.
Built on Rails, using Postgres and Heroku.
Any feedback or new feature ideas? Let me know.
Thanks
Thanks @rrhoover, I didn't realize that @nbashaw was involved with GA. Yeah this app was actually my last project I did at GA. I took the WDI course in LA and it ended in Dec.
Going forward, perhaps I'll toss in a bookmarklet and a photo upload feature instead of just linking. I'd like to see it turn into a quirky site people check in with to see new interesting photos for inspiration or just for fun, whatever. I'm open to any feedback or help. It's just been fun to work on and play with. And @liveink, we got the photos around the internet. Hopefully the images stay design friendly. When I was populating the database I used a lot of photos from ffffound. I love that site.
