Hey ProductHunt! 👋 I’m Kabir, a 17-year-old maker from New Delhi, India. I’m super excited to release my first product: Unslant. Unslant is a Chrome extension that surfaces contrasting perspectives on the politics news you read, from outlets on the other side of the political spectrum. It’s a simple, unobtrusive panel that pops up when there’s a high-quality suggestion available from across the aisle. By taking manual effort out of the equation, it makes you far more likely to dive deeper into the larger conversation surrounding news stories and pop your filter bubble. Here are some example news stories to test it out: CNN Fox News USA Today The Federalist I’d love feedback on: - The relevance of recommended stories - Whether your favorite news sources are supported - User experience - Anything else you feel could use improvement I’m continuing to improve Unslant so there may be a few minor issues here and there. (~95% of the code was written when procrastinating over homework 😉). Let me know if you have any questions! 😄
