What's your workflow for taking notes while conversations are going on?

Interested because I'm I'm preparing to launch Bara an AI Audio-to-Document Platform, (and soon API!)

Have you tried using any AI-powered transcription services that can convert speech to text in real-time? We are launching a speech tool within our Sol-A. Assistant very soon! We are opening waitlist tomorrow!

You can just use AI tools, it will automatically transcribe every sentence and give you some key points and summaries

@jakeharr which ones do you like to use?

Audio Pen for recording. There're many other meeting tools for this scene I think?

@cld Have you seen any with no audio size limits?
Chris Lindner
@maxjacobs I haven't been limited by the audio pen, but maybe that's just because I haven't hit it.

@cld How is the note fidelity, does it miss anything?

Notion, Google Docs, Sublime Text

Audio Pen for taking notes. There are probably a lot more meeting tools for this situation.

@luella_boser How do you find the note fidelity, what’s your favorite feature?
Liam Jacob
I use a notepad or digital note-taking app to note down key points and ideas during conversations, ensuring accuracy and clarity.

@liam_jacob1 do you ever have a problem with staying active in the discussion while taking notes?

@april_jensen what made you choose audio pen?
Iris Fuller
I actively listen, jot keywords, and summarize main points. Later, I expand notes, ensuring accuracy and clarity for reference.

@iris_fuller While writing down keywords to expand on later is definitely a solution to staying more active in the discussion, do you ever find that being overwhelming, or just afterwords do you ever find missing information or forgotten ideas?
Leon Novački
I like having a pen and paper during the conversation, and I write down small notes and keywords. After the conversation, I elaborate on what I've written on paper and type it either in Slack or in Google Docs, depending on where it belongs.

@leon_novacki do you find taking more detailed notes almost like a document would hinder your ability to actively participate in conversations?
Leon Novački
@maxjacobs I don't take detailed notes for that reason. It's just a couple of keywords or key thoughts that connect A to B, and I write it down only to remember it better. Then after the conversation I write the detailed notes.

@anita_j_preuss any specific reason you chose audio pen, maybe a specific feature?
