What's the best way to learn design?

For context, I'm a technical founder whose product seriously depends on design (conveying a vision). I use tailwind css and component libraries like shadcn, but I find it hard to create something that stands out just fiddling around.

Hey Michael! When I started working on UI, i felt the lack of knowledge. Start reading blog, other's portfolio and try to understand why the design was made the way it is. You will get a lot of decision making tricks for design.
