@kate_ramakaieva yes absolutely. 1 thing that worked for me is to follow everyone who upvoted your product in hopes they follow you back. Since PH refreshes the new category in the discussions tab, you need as many people to follow to see your post before it shows up there. Your discussion gets started early and has a better chance to hit "popular" discussions.

@daisy_do start discussions, ask for tips and feedback, reach out to other people that will be launching soon as well and exchange ideas. You can also already start sending out messages to your connections to stay notified, this helps because they then won't need to create a new account on PH the day of launch which isn't the most straightforward process.

@priya_agarwal15 Hi Priya, you gotta have a gameplan for everyone in the company. Make it simple to copy and paste a whatsapp message they can send to friends, a post on social media, an email to ex colleagues or vendors they've worked with and encourage everyone to be proud in sharing their work to the world. This is at best, an opportunity you get only a handful of times in your lives so make it worth it.

@sleegal Hi Gloria! The #1 thing that helped us of course was our personal networks. Everyone has to activate their own following and be shamelessly proud in sharing their launch and asking for upvotes and comments on the page. You have 4 hours from midnight PST to get as many votes as possible before it becomes live for everyone else to see. And you have to be in the top 5 at that 4 hour mark to show up on PH's home page without needing a load more button I believe. This is so so crucial. Only then would the community start seeing your product and then interact with it. Also, have a clear target in mind. For us it was 500 upvotes. We saw that 500 puts you in the top 3 almost every single day in the last 14 days leading up to our launch. We aimed for it and we ended with around 750, 50% more than we expected but only because we knew 500 was our minimum to go for.

@julesfyt hi Jules we did have an internal database of around 800 waitlist sign ups, friends, investors that we emailed 3 days before and just after we launched. We also sponsored a newsletter ad but that was for the day after the launch.
