Start-up Lessons Learned: Funding
Funding is one of the most important resources for startups, and based on what I have learned, there are several categories of funding:
1. Revenue: This is the most crucial aspect for a startup. It is essential to reach a sustainable business model as soon as possible.
2. Subsidies from government or other organizations: This type of funding is relatively easy to obtain, but it often requires meeting specific criteria and providing extensive documentation.
3. Investments: This is one of the most significant activities when running a startup. While it involves giving away shares and regular reporting to investors, there are also benefits such as financial support and access to valuable networks.
4. Loans: Loans can be an excellent source of funding, particularly because they don't require giving up equity. However, it is important to note that everyone is aware of the associated risks and costs.
What kinds of funding have you received until now? Have you pursued any other funding methods besides the ones listed above?
