Any recommendations on where to look for this kind of data-driven startup intel? "There are 4,000 active companies building [to-do apps] today. This is down from 5,000 last year. 1,000 are new in the last 12 months. 2,000 recently shutdown. There have been 15,000 total attempts at building better [to-do apps] in the last 10 years. 100 have been acquired. It's a $XB market, growing y%. Saturation: High." CBInsights, Pitchbook, Crunchbase? Other?

The shutdown of companies will also stem from many other reasons. Saturation is probably only a small part of it. After the COVID pandemic, lolbeans, many businesses no longer have a foothold in the market, so it is not easy to restore.
