Choose the Right Day and Time: Launch your product on a day and time when Product Hunt is most active. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are generally considered good days. Launching around 10 am Pacific Time (PT) is often recommended, as it aligns with the platform's peak traffic.
Build a Strong Product Page: Your product page is crucial for attracting attention. Ensure you have a clear and compelling product name, a catchy tagline, a well-designed logo, a captivating product image, and a concise yet informative description of your product.
Create a Quality Hunt Story: Craft a compelling story around your product launch. Explain what problem your product solves, why it's unique, and how it can benefit users. Be authentic and engage with the Product Hunt community.
Leverage Your Network: Before launching, build excitement among your existing network and encourage them to support your launch. Notify your email list, social media followers, and any relevant communities or forums you're part of.
Engage with the Product Hunt Community: Actively participate in the discussions, answer questions, and thank people for their support or feedback. Building a positive and engaged presence can boost your visibility and credibility.
Offer Exclusive Deals or Perks: Consider offering exclusive deals, discounts, or perks to Product Hunt users to incentivize them to try your product.
Collaborate with Hunters: If you know someone influential on Product Hunt (a "Hunter"), consider reaching out and collaborating with them to launch your product. Their support can significantly boost your chances of success.
Utilize Product Hunt Ads: Product Hunt offers paid promotional opportunities through their Ads platform. Consider using it to reach a broader audience and increase your visibility.
Monitor Feedback and Iterate: Pay close attention to user feedback during and after the launch. Use this feedback to improve your product and address any issues or concerns.
Follow Up: After the launch, continue engaging with the community and potential users. Share updates, milestones, and improvements to keep the momentum going.
@james_sukosd Here's the landing page formula I used as a guideline for our landing page (https://join.superflow.app) - not ready yet but you can get a feel. The following tips have been also shared on Product Hunt, but I did not note down the source. So, the credit doesn't go to me... :)
[Can be applied to all digital products].
1. Hero Block🦸
You never get a second chance to make a good first impression.
This is why you need a killing Hero Block that will describe your offer and the product in 15 seconds.
1. 1. Heading 1.
Describe what value customers will get after using your product. Add emotion, bold claim, or handle the objections.
1. 2. Product Description.
Now it’s time to explain how your product will deliver the promised value. Describe your product by highlighting unique features (2 or 3 sentences).
1. 3. Bonus point — add a quick social proof.
- number of customers
- rating
- an award (for example, a Product Hunt badge)
2. Product visual 🖼
Show your product with images, gifs, and videos. People scan visuals faster than they read the text.
We have 2-3 scroll screenshots that give the full experience of our products.
Also, we guide users and highlight the value of each core feature.
3. Social Proof ❤️
Add reviews from opinion leaders, user statistics, product awards, and press mentions. Reinforce your offer from a different angle.
Remember — people trust people.
4. Problem Agitation ☠️
Describe the problem, highlight the negative consequences if this problem is ignored, and summarize the conclusion for users.
This way, you and the users will be on the same page.
5. High-level Solution 🦄
Now your users know about the problem but have no idea how to solve it. This is your time to shine.
Describe your product and its value proposition. Same ideas as in the Hero Block but in a different variation. Tell how your product works.
6. Product Features 🧩
Describe features through delivered value and sell benefits.
To make this block pop add stunning visuals (ideally GIFs) and limit the number of features to 3-4 points. Limit feature descriptions to 2-3 sentences.
7. Handle objections ✅
You don't want to finish the story with feature descriptions. It's too boring.
In this block, you state one more time what your offer is and why it's valuable for users.
Moreover, you handle objections to make sure users have enough trust in your product and you.
8. Pricing 💸
Finally, describe your paid plans and the benefits of using them.
- limit your pricing to 3 plans
- highlight the most popular plan
- list 3-5 benefits of each plan
9. FAQ ⌛️
List all tough questions that your users can have. Answer them shortly and concisely. Talk like a human.
Even if you answered the question on the landing page, repeat it here.
10. Final Action 🚀
Don't leave users without the final CTA Button. They scrolled all the way down for it. Make it dead simple to buy your product.
Pro-tip: repeat your positioning one more time.
@james_sukosd here is the right link :D https://superflow.app/
I always focus on selling the benefits that users derive from the product, rather than just the product itself. Often, less is more! A combination of text, animations, videos, and pictures helps keep the viewer engaged. (Did you know that our attention span is typically around 3 seconds?!) Establishing credibility, if possible, through means such as testimonials, is also important.
Here are the learnings that I have gathered from our launched product, Hope this will help you.
1️⃣ Mutual Support: The Product Hunt community is passionate and engaged, and it's essential to reciprocate support. Providing feedback and upvotes to others creates a supportive environment and encourages reciprocity.
2️⃣ Authenticity Matters: Being authentic is crucial. The community trusts and connects better when we are genuine and transparent.
3️⃣ Seek Expert Guidance: Early collaboration with industry professionals or experts who have launched before can be invaluable for a successful and well-organized launch.
4️⃣Use Your Community: Tap into your existing network, including followers, partners, friends, and family, to reach a broader audience and gain initial traction for your launch.
5️⃣ Patience and Preparation: Give yourself proper time before the launch to build an audience. Rushing the launch may not yield the desired impact.
6️⃣ Involve Your Team: If you can, get your team involved in the launch. Their support can make a big difference.
7️⃣ Leverage the Power of Other Social Media Platforms: Apart from Product Hunt, utilize various social media channels to create buzz and drive traffic to your launch. Engage with your audience on platforms like Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram, building excitement and spreading the word about your upcoming launch.
8️⃣ Engage Early Adopters: Identify and engage with early adopters who show interest in your product. Their feedback and enthusiasm can be instrumental in spreading the word.
All the best for the Launch!
One tip that I truly believe works is the "Power of Community".
We have launched our Product today itself - Would love for you to check out & provide relevant Feedback-

Reading through all this to prepare for our launch. Been on PH since 2015 but haven't launched something here until now, and much has changed since then.
