If you launched, how did you get your first 500 customers and how long did it take you?

We are setting an internal marketing strategy for www.sectar.co and want to understand how you guys got your first 500 customers, especially as a SaaS company. Did you use any paid marketing? Any partnerships?

I far as I remember, since the first day we launched till we got our first few customers took about a month. We had been working on our product for around 10 months. We used Google ads too. don't exactly remember when we hit 500 but it must have been around 6 months after launching.

@salar__davari Thanks for writing this out. Did you have a waitlist in place before the launch? And any budget you stuck with running the Google ads?

I launched my feces to outer space with a strong trebuchet. My 500 customers were a whole bunch of goofy ass aliens and it took me only 1 minute.
