I’m exploring an idea around discovering and sharing content. I subscribe to a few newsletters that share interesting links, and I really like how they give a summary or context of the link. But the problem is they often get buried in my inbox, so I struggle to get the benefit from them. I’d love a tool that allows me to follow people who curate and share links. Save, add notes and share things I discover. And take a more community-driven approach with discussions around interesting topics. Here's a more in-depth demo:

Neat idea, David! 👏 I'm subscribed to dozens of newsletters, hundreds of RSS feeds, and I follow many people on Twitter. And I still sometimes miss good content. As a way to discover content, I guess the critical thing would be how many people adopt it and start using it regularly. As a way to share content, it doesn't seem too appealing to me, as a lot of my reading outside of the browser (in Reeder, to be specific) and sharing it from there seems like a step I would rarely make. In any case, I'm curious to see how your idea works out. 🙂

@zoranjambor 👋 do you often read the things you find online? Yeh the adoption would be a big challenge. I’m reaching out to a few people who currently share content through newsletters to see if they would be willing to give it a go to get the ball rolling with it. Could I ask what you like about Reeder?

@ocallaghandavid I read things I find online daily—because I run the CSS Weekly newsletter, where I share links to relevant articles. I like Reedeer's design and the fact that it's available on iOS and Mac, so I can seamlessly read on multiple platforms. PS. Sorry for the late reply. :)

I think its cool - network effect is going to be hard. I could see myself using this for something like hacker news, but its just an ease of use thing

@philipsnyder Yeh the network effect is a big challenge. Would you just see yourself using it for bookmarking interesting things (is that what you mean by ease of use thing)?
