👋🏻 I’m Ed Henderson, a web developer based in Scotland with over 25 years’ experience.
I’ve worked with startups, global brands and non-profits, building, fixing and reviewing hundreds of websites. Over time, I noticed the gap between automated audits and what actually matters to real users, things that confuse, annoy or just quietly lose trust.
🦉 So I launched Websworth - a proper, human website review service. No bots, no jargon, no AI. Just honest feedback on what’s working, what’s not and how to fix it.
It’s a one-off review, written by me, tested on real devices across browsers, with usability and accessibility checks built in. No subscriptions, no upsells, just useful advice you can act on.
If you’ve got a site that’s not quite pulling its weight, or know someone who does, I’d love you to take a look.
Happy for any questions or constructive feedback, cheers!

Hey Ed, happy to have you on Product Hunt đź‘‹
I think offering a personal, non-AI-generated or automated report is a really great way to stand out and have a unique twist on this kind of service.
I'm curious, what are some of the most common mistakes you see people making?
@jakecrump Cheers Jake, really appreciate a nice response 🍻
Three common mistakes I see, wow. I could answer this a dozen different ways as things are always changing. Off the top of my head right now:
Vague content, big bold headlines that sound nice but don’t tell you what the site does or who it’s for. You’ve got seconds to hook people and most sites waste them.
Clumsy mobile UX, overlapping elements, popups that trap you, navs that feel like puzzles. It technically “works” but it’s annoying in practice. Mobile first please!
Too many choices, sites trying to say and do EVERYTHING at once. You end up with six CTAs fighting for attention and the user bails.
All stuff a real person would spot instantly, but bots just give you a passing score and move on. Hope that helps mate, cheers!

@edhenderson Yeah, those are some great ones. I've definitely seen many examples of all three of those, haha!
You're completely right that a lot of that kind of stuff would completely get past a bot but be noticed by a real person immediately.
Good luck with your project. I think it'd be really helpful to a lot of makers out there!
@jakecrump Thanks so much, honestly, that means a lot.
I’m trying to get this in front of the right people without being that guy who spams every thread or inbox. Still figuring it all out.
If there’s anywhere you think I should share it, or anything you’d suggest, I’m all ears.
Really appreciate the support.
Cheers
