It really depends on each person I interact with in 1-to-1 in the team. I try to adapt to each one's work style. Then for global team communication, I set up very clear processes.
For example, I find the use of segregated channels with read only permissions except from team leader very efficient. So everybody can find the proper information without it being lost in lengthy discussions. And I set up the process that each team member needs to react with coded emojis to these "announcements" to confirm reading/action.
It's very smooth & clean this way, I'm quite fond of it!
A good team player is always an effective communicator. To ensure effective communication with your team, you should meet at least once a week, sit at a round table and discuss everything that is going on in the company. Make sure you do not play politics and make it a point to speak in a non-threatening environment. This way, everyone in the team is able to share his views and suggestions, which help the team grow.
