How do you delegate tasks?

Hey everyone! I know that delegation is a critical skill for managers but still it is sometimes problematic for me as delegating involves giving some control away. How do you delegate tasks and cope with giving control away?

Control can quickly become a bigger hurdle than delegation when you have a lot on your plate. I find that giving my team mates an opportunity to understand my concerns, conveying information about projects to me at an agreed upon internal, and a common workspace for us to share project documentation has helped loads! I don't have to worry about tasks, they get organised in a mutual location so I can always drop in and check, and I get to hear from them regularly as we make availability of top importance.

I use task management systems that provide me with a dashboard to see the status of all tasks. When delegating, I provide training videos showing how to do the task.
