Founders, what's your opinion of hiring freelancers?

Are there certain roles you would hire freelance / contractors for, and others you would not? Why? (And if you're a freelancer, what's the #1 most misunderstood thing about working as a freelancer?)

no brainer! you need to become good at identifying who you can work well with because if you're not sure it can be very costly both time wise and financially.
