Do you consider it a fair strategy to solicit support for an upcoming launch on Product Hunt?

I understand the marketing perspective, but it's a downside for the community. As a result, we see not necessarily the best projects but rather those who have reached a larger audience with their pleas.

I receive a significant number of comments on my topics on Product Hunt, but not for this question..
