congratulations on the launch. while im a strong believer of the fact that emails can replace 99% meetings, yet we all love meetings. its n interesting idea n i hope that meetings-intensive businesses/environments will make good use of it. love the 'template agenda' part. any discounts for nonprofits orgs?
@naveed_rehman Thanks Naveed, our vision is to continue developing the app to a point where we are consistently saving people from unnecessary meeting time, whether that's decreasing the time spent in a given meeting (ie. helping you reach the meeting's purpose quicker and more easily) or potentially replacing unnecessary meetings altogether!
We want our users to feel like their time spent in any given meeting is well spent, that's the real goal.
I want to try this out with team meetings to make sure they're more productive! Great way to have an agenda and make sure you're only meeting if you have something useful to say. Reminds me of another similar tool i saw, but i kinda like this one!! Pricing is very generous!
@rimer_carlyle_espinosa Thanks for the support. I'm sure Topicflow could help you and we would happy to assist you in replacing Jira. Internally, we love to track our action items during our recurring meetings, it makes life simple to have notes and action items in one place!
Hi Product Hunt! 👋
We’re excited to share what we’ve been working on for the last year. We’re building Topicflow to help managers and their teams have more productive, effective and meaningful meetings. From 1-on-1s to team meetings, we’re trying to help create focus and efficiencies wherever possible to give you a meeting experience that’s worth your time. We’ve been testing Topicflow privately up until now and we can’t wait to launch it in the Product Hunt community to continue gathering feedback and iterating!
All of us previously worked together on a product called 7Geese, which was acquired a few years ago. During our time there, we constantly heard from the companies we worked with about their struggles to build effective, high-performing teams. Specifically from managers, we heard about their struggles to first learn the basics of how to manage after being promoted, and then how to manage effectively. A common thread, particularly from managers, was that their days were consumed by meetings, and those meetings often didn’t feel like they were accomplishing everything they could. So we started building Topicflow to help 😀
Since meetings take up so much of a managers time, it’s the best place to start helping managers be more effective. Topicflow allows you to easily manage the full lifecycle of your meetings. You can:
- Create and share agendas either from scratch from our best-practice template library
- Prepare notes and content in advance and share them prior to meeting if group-prep is needed
- Capture and track meeting minutes, Action Items, Decisions and Goals within the appropriate context
- Search/view your meeting history, or act on automated reminders designed to help you follow-up on past topics
- After a meeting, share the meeting summary with anyone that needs it (whether or not they attended the meeting)
Topicflow is free for small teams, and we look forward to your feedback!
@maxparm congrats team Topicflow! Very innovative product and highly needed for managers and teams! We are using way too many different Google docs to keep track of meeting notes and action items. Can’t wait for Managers and companies to start implementing Topicflow.
@bita_m1 Thanks for the support. That's one of the main reasons we built Topicflow: too many meeting notes & action items lost in various apps. With Topicflow, all your notes & action items are consolidated in one space from one meeting to another.
@josie_l Personally, I love Topic Reminders. Discussions from previous meetings will automatically re-surface in future meetings if they were left incomplete. Nothing slips through the cracks any more :)
Here's a quick demo of it in action!
Environment directs focus. Interruptions destroy it.
Calendar, email, and instant message are dominant aspects of the environment of the knowledge worker. They are a constant source of interruptions. Their notifications are unrelated to importance.
With tasks, goals, and meeting continuity, I see Topicflow as having the potential to provide an environment that layers *importance* over the current environment which is too heavily influenced by urgency.
Huge timesaver for teams, especially with the ability to carry previous discussion topics forward. That's where the value of meetings breaks down. Congrats on the launch!
Great product - Congratulations! - I use it all the time because it works. My feedback on functionality has been thoughtfully considered and I can see changes in the product that reflect some of those comments. The product has continued to improve over time, likely because of responsive developers listening to user feedback in addition to some smart thinking supporting the product in general.
Congrats on the launch 👏
As a "calendar' person - i.e, if its not in my calendar it doesn't happen. This works with the way my ADHD brain works. All the best team!!
