@visualpharm Hey, Ivan! Thanks a lot!
When we first started, things looked even more depressing, but over time, we began to take steps in a calmer, more constructive direction. Now we seem to have found the right tone of voice.
@visualpharm@kulinkovich1 That's fascinating. Would be interested to see some of the scraped ideas of you guys that are on the more depressing side. For now it's already a product that I can stare at for a long period just in awe of the flow of time and life.
@jackie_jiachen_yang Hey, Jackie! Many thanks!
Some depressing parts are still available in the new version. We just shifted the focus to what we call Horizons, a tool for daily planning

Hey hunters!
I'm Sergey, co-founder of Timestripe.
A few years ago we came up with the prototype of Timestripe β an interactive lifetime calendar, based on user's birth date and average life expectancy. The idea was to help people realize the finiteness of life and motivate them to start doing what is really important.
For many people it was quite a dramatic experience. Just a quick look at Timestripe Calendar raised serious questions in one's mind. Left alone with these questions, people reacted differently: some fell into melancholy, while others, felt an emotional lift and burst of energy.
Surprisingly, we have received tremendously positive responses from people who have chosen this calendar to plan their lives and manage their daily tasks too. So we decided to take the next step and build the perfect tool for conscious life planning.
We've learned a lot about life since the first prototype, so our product evolved significantly. It started as "you must achieve more before you die" and now it is more like "you are the author of your amazing life".
Today we are relaunching Timestripe.
We call it "goal-oriented planner", but that doesn't seem to describe the thing accurately enough.
What would you suggest?
We think a lot about the value of small steps on the way to great achievements, whatever they might be.
Here are some highlights:
- Horizons are keeping you aware of your big dreams while managing your daily tasks. It helps to stay focused, while seeing the big picture.
- Every day is a fresh start. No more overflowing to-do lists.
- Each goal is a line in your biography, which is automatically written in the format of a convenient diary that you can reflect on.
- Multiple checklists in boards to organize anything.
- Climbs. Add a variety of challenge sets to smoothly build useful habits and learn new things.
- Calendar, Clock, Lifetime Overview, Insights, Tags, Apple and Google Cals integration, Dark mode.
Timestripe has a mobile layout, though, but its strengths are better revealed on the desktop. Native mobile Apps are still to come.
It would be a great pleasure to know what you think.
Hey, at least try to put some new year's resolutions to test the product π
Are we missing some features?
Are there some planning patterns we didn't design for?
Please be kind enough to share.
We'd appreciate any feedback.

Thank you! β¨
@kulinkovich1 Congratulations on the launch!
Timestripe could be solving this need gap - 'Getting things done at individual level' posted on my problem validation platform - https://needgap.com/problems/30-... .
You're welcomed to explain how Timestripe solves their problem, So those who need it can find it easily.
@kulinkovich1@heavyinfo Hey Abishek! Thank you for your support!
The link you shared is gold! So many nice tools mentioned! We will definitely investigate all these products and will add Timestripe to that list. Thanks again!
OKeeeey here is my wish list:
- more hot keys
- ability to paste images in the notes section
- automatic link recognition in comments
- global search
- better tag support with autocomplete
- ability to mention people who are not even in my contact list, just as a way of tagging but about people
@vlad_korobov many thanks! π
Your wish list overlaps with our backlog pretty much. That's great!
I just didn't quite get the last item here. I'd appreciate it if you could describe the scenario in which this is supposed to be used.
@vlad_korobov@kulinkovich1 Usually when you write @ - there is an invite dialog - but I don't need it. I just wan to use @ as # but for marking people like @john - and John is not a part of my team or something. So @ is like # but just for other kind of tags :)
@vlad_korobov@kulinkovich1@john I get it! Thank you! We will try to find a proper solution for this scenario. By the way, collaborative features are on the way as well. ;)
@jimmy_cerone@vlad_korobov I recollect a story told by Sergey, our co-founder. He once accidentally scrolled iPhone Calendar far beyond the 2100s. Just seeing this on the screen and realising that these days are surely to come and we are not to participate β this really does the trick of putting the present moment into perspective.
@jake_tran Thank you!
Yep! You can set up sync in Settings. Timestripe's goals will appear as all-day events on your Apple or Google calendar. This way your goals can always be in sight during the busy day.
@kulinkovich1 Hoorah, happy to finally see you on Product Hunt! The Climbs are fantastic, do you plan to add an option for creating my own sharable Climb at some point?
@kulinkovich1@vladimir_gromozdin, thank you! π
Yeah! That's a part of our plan!
We are going to provide the opportunity for people to create their own Climbs on any subject. The Timestripe of Tomorrow allows people to share knowledge with each other by seamlessly integrating new skills into the routine of their everyday life.
@itsnblackburn Nathaniel, thank you for sharing your view! β¨
Yep, this part of the project is yet to be elaborated, and we'll definitely take your opinion into consideration!
@robin_bdru@kulinkovich1 Exactly! Timestripe of tomorrow will allow professionals from various areas (e.g. fitness coaches, tutors, mentors, etc) to create their custom Climbs and share their knowledge by importing various sets of goals into people's calendars. The idea of Timestripe Climbs is that education (learning new things and acquiring new skills) does not have to be hard and boring, does not have to require some special space (and efforts) in life. We invite people to enrich their personal list of goals with sets of simple tasks that, over time, will lead to the desired results in the areas they have chosen.
@mikekaynov Thanx Mike!
We have used this method in personal planning in various note-taking apps before we created Horizons. But all those apps lacked a bird's eye view. That's how horizons came up :-)
It seemed possible to create such a structure in a Trello / Notion or even Excel. But the columns would quickly accumulate outdated tasks, every day you would have to create a new column, archive the old one, it would quickly start to get annoying.
The beauty of horizons is that it's based on a calendar. Each day, week, month, year, is a blank column that automatically meets the user when the time comes. But all history is always available in the past periods.
Another very interesting effect you get when you keep planning in Timestripe for several months. You can switch between "Horizons," "Days," and "Weeks" and see a retrospective of past tasks and ideas at different zoom levels. What I thought was important to do on a monthly scale? What I thought was worth doing on a daily basis? This is a powerful tool for reflection and introspection on my goal-setting
@andrew_maykov Thx, Andrew!
It's true. Planning horizons and the ability to look globally at my plans involved me to Timestripe. It's just a kill-feature :).
Is this it? The note planner I've always needed? I love the horizontal timeline, it's so refreshing as it's how I plan my week.
I do wish the detailed modal pop up was little simpler and had smaller fonts / less distracting content.
Looking forward to using this!
@typicalmitul We are constantly working to make Timestripe look as clear as possible. So we will definitely take your words into account as we work on the next releases. (In fact, we are already discussing what can be done here). Thank you Mitul! βοΈ
Just WOW! I suck at managing my time and planning my own life, even if I plan everything related to work very well, when it's about my future personal plans... terrible. Well, not anymore! The design ann UI is just amazing, great use of colors, and for what it is worth, amazing presentation video!
I really love that the Horizons view allows you to see not only short term goals but also encourage you to make progress on longer term goals by putting them next to each other. Looking forward to using this!
First time Product Hunt commenter, but I had to say that I love this idea and I even loved the teaser video which I normally find corny. I just started using it today so will need more time to fully assess but everything seems pretty much great.
Quick question, in order to help ensure this product is as good as it can be, I'd love to report what I think is a small bug I found. How might I do that?
Cheers and keep up the good work!
@heath_daniel Use whatever channel is convenient for you. We are waiting for your bug reports via email, twitter, instagram or facebook. The contacts are listed at timestripe.com (at the very bottom of the page). Many thanks Heath!
@nielsmouthaan1@vlad_korobov What I really would like is something that actually helps me planning my week. A bit like the Eisenhower model probably. So far all todo apps I've used are not really intelligent. I also can use Notion or Numbers for that.
I really liked the teaser video. It's so appealing!
Also, appreciate your thought and the purpose of making an application like this. It will be really helpful. Thanks π
?makers Great product and design! I have a suggestion for you:
add an option to provide a feedback inside your product like a feedback button (if such option doesn't exceeds), not just an email
@liad_fogel Thank you Liad! We'll discuss options with the team. Meanwhile, we'd love to get your suggestions via Twitter, Instagram, facebook or email (all listed at Timestripe.com).
@kulinkovich1 here is one suggestion: to create a button to move all uncompleted task from the past (or at least from the last day or week) to the next day (or even create an option to choose it to move automatically). This will force the users to remember to complete the open tasks (now I need to do it manually for each task)
@kulinkovich1@liad_fogel thank you Liad! We're working on it right now. There will be a place (we consider it to be inside some custom Backlog board) where all the outdated / uncompleted goals would be automatically listed.
