The Ride — The Ride is an all-in-one taxi & transit app for Canadians.

Hey everyone, I'm the CEO of CellWand, the company that makes The Ride. We launched The Ride with a simple mission: to help Canadians get where they need to go. We allow you to e-hail a taxi in cities across Canada, and we're currently connected to over 6,000 taxis across the country. In cities where e-hailing isn't available yet we use our #TAXI service (which has been used over 12 million times by Canadians since launch), so no matter where you are - big city or small town - you can get a taxi when you need it. What we think makes The Ride really unique (and a must-have app) is that we also pull in transit information in over 75 cities and communities across Canada, so you can view transit info in real-time, map your route on streetcars, buses, and subways, and compare the cost/length of time to a taxi. We don't care how you get there, just that you get there, which is why we also list car-share options like Zipcar and car2go, and we'll be adding bikeshare in the spring of 2016.
