We are an AI-powered platform for businesses and artists in the music industry, consolidating and organizing data from various sources into a single interface. We provide easily accessible info, actionable insights, and vetted connections for users.
After 10+ years in the music industry, I decided it was time to make a real change. The industry remains too informal, fragmented, and inefficient. We've identified two key insights:
While most companies focus on helping artists generate more views or streams, the real issue isn’t just access to capital—it's access to opportunity. Artists often don’t know how to spend the limited money they have. We're building a solution to help them make smarter, more efficient decisions.
Having owned two small businesses in the music industry, I’ve seen firsthand the massive need for a platform like ours—one that delivers leads and more deals to small businesses. Our model ensures artists don’t pay; instead, we’ll charge businesses to fuel the platform’s success.
We’re here to make the music industry more connected, efficient, and accessible for all.
congrats on the launch! How are you thinking about network effects on this one? Seems like the value of this product is bound to the number of other musicians on there. Are you considering niching down to a genre/location first, or open it up completely and do a lot of paid acquisition?
@jonnymiles You are completely right.
We first, decided to work on our services catalog, just sheer volume of data, to make sure that the platform can at least be useful to any user right from the start.
We are now testing a few niche thesis based location & services that we believe we can deliver immediate value to the users.
@gabor_kriston It definitely is Gabor,
A lot of other companies are tunnel-visioning into generating more streams, more views, more user engagement, and honestly that won't go very far.
There are a LOT of opportunities out there that are not streaming / social media bound and we need to make sure that people are aware of and have access to them.
On top of that, with data, we can make sure that we filter out some of the scams and the excessive noise with all of the social media-focused services.
That's an interesting concept! Not a musician myself, just dabble in FL Studio from time to time. Can you explain a bit more? I'm curious - isn't Instagram already a good tool for musicians to network? How does this differ?
@simonas_kauzonas Thank you so much Simonas, We are super excited too!
That is awesome that you are dabbling on FL Studio. I also started there waaaaaayyyy back in college, and it was a great stepping stone for me to get into the music production world.
Instagram is what musicians use NOW. That being said, it is far from ideal.
People spend hours and hours scrolling, trying to search for potential leads of collaborations.
With IG you can only go as far as "what you know". For example one could say, "I would like to collaborate with this person, or that person" i.e. you don't know what you don't know.
With our platform people will get constant leads of partners, businesses and opportunities based on their preferences.
It is a game changer!
Hey, Ya'll! Thank you SO SO much for the support.
It means the world to us.
We want to build this closely with the people who believe in our mission, so all feedback and questions are welcome!
Keep sharing the platform with your musical peers, and let them know that we are super open to hearing their needs.
I understand that The Papaya will provide two functional points:
1. Musicians share daily, such as sending some small demos
2. A trading platform for musicians and businesses
So my question is, how are you going to make sure that the intellectual property rights of musicians are not being compromised? For example, demo theft
@an_zuo Hey An, thank your for your question.
We are not really planning on providing a feed, or a place for artists to share their work as of now.
We believe that the tools that already exists are doing a decent job doing so.
That idea is to help artist filter through the noise, not generate more.
Your second point is spot on, we are indeed building a trading platform for both sides of the industry, artists and businesses.
We will though, help them with their IP registration. We first will provide useful guides and connect them with legal services that can do a more in-depth service. Eventually we plan to also provide music registration services that will register and track their IP usage!
@gian_berselli Thank you for your reply. I think the protection of intellectual property rights in music is particularly important, and your work will greatly promote the development in this area.
@luanat Hi Luana, Thank you! We really appreciate all the support.
We have opened the platform to everyone, but we will focus our efforts into specific geolocations, so we can properly serve these places with a lot of value!
As we grow, we plan to expand to different regions, always making sure that we can provide value first
This sounds like a much-needed solution for the music industry. I’m curious, how does the platform help artists decide where to spend their limited resources? Looking forward to seeing how it evolves!
@scar_qin Scar, you are spot-on. That is exactly what we are here for.
With the gathering and digestion of data, we can understand where the artist should allocate their resources that will provide the best ROI.
It is all about data, gathering, and filtering it!
@ihuzaifashoukat YES!
Indeed! And more than that, with a platform built to their needs.
We will understand and filter the data available to better guide the artists.
