This newsletter is great. It's my primary way of staying on top of what's happening in the startup scene back home. Keep it up @neilswmurray ๐Ÿ‘

@kjemperud Thanks Thomas, glad to hear it! Appreciate the kind words! The purpose of the newsletter is to create a main (and easy) resource for people to get a quick understanding of what's currently happening in the region, so I'm pleased that it has served that purpose for you!

I'm the curator of The Nordic Web Weekly. This has been going out every Friday for around a year now and curates all of the interesting new startups, funding rounds and exits that occur in The Nordics, one of the Worlds most prolific producers of exceptional startups! The Nordics account for 26% of Europe's exits and 30% of the 'Unicorns' despite only being 25 million people!! (4% of Europe's population) Despite all of this, the area is still rather underserved by tech media which is why I started the newsletter (and the site itself). We have seen some really interesting cases come out of the newsletter including a VC firm sourcing a deal through it: "In fact, itโ€™s through Neil Murrayโ€™s newsletter that I first heard about Mapillary. Several months later, I was fortunate to lead our firmโ€™s investment in the Company to help drive the creation of a crowdsourced visual representation of our world.โ€ โ€” Nathan Benaich, (VC at Playfair Capital) Would love to get feedback on the newsletter (Particularly on what may be useful info for investors) as well as answering any questions anyone may have on the Nordic scene in general!

Keep up the good work, @neilswmurray! I've found your newsletters to be a great way to keep up with the news in the region (now that I'm not currently there much) and discovering new startups. What are your predictions for the region?
Neil S W Murray
@mloenow Thanks Mikkel! I think it's an interesting time for the region as we have already seen so many successes from the Nordics (Spotify, Zendesk, Skype, Rovio to name a few) yet I don't think the scene has fully matured yet, and up until recently it has been quite disjointed. So, when you think about all the incredible startups it has already produced, think what could happen once more money from exits comes back in and the scene is even more joined up! I really believe we are only scratching the surface of the Nordics potential as a startup hub right now, and we will see even greater numbers of globally successful startups born here. In terms of verticals, I think Fintech is an area to watch in the region right now, and I think that it will soon join gaming, B2B Enterprise and health as one of the verticals the Nordics seem to naturally excel in.

@neilswmurray This is awesome. I would love to see more of these. I'm imagining a whole bunch of regionally-grouped startup weeklies.

@narekk Thanks Narek! Yes, that's a great idea! Also, for those interested in getting a good weekly round-up of the whole European scene then @tech_eu's newsletter is second to none! http://tech.eu/newsletter/

Hey @neilswmurray, is it the same service that provided 'Julekalender' (Christmas Gift) series in Dec'14 where 9 Nordics shared some interesting questions, daily? If yes, I would look forward to the new series.

@vingar Hi Vinesh! Yes, It's the same company behind both initiatives. (@thenordicweb) This is more of a weekly round-up of whats happening in the Nordic Startup Scene, whereas The Nordic Nine is founders giving daily insights. We plan to run it again in December this year, so keep an eye out for it!
