HandsFree 2 is a one of the kind utility app for Mac users with good old Android phones.. No need to use wifi connection or anything.. Works with good old Bluetooth..
Good idea but I firmly believe that Apple users are obsessed with their brand, so if they have a Mac, they will most probably have an iPhone, not an android phone. Am i right??
Once you buy an apple product, you'll be addicted to the apple products...:P
Windows and Android combination will be a good one. I'm an android user, so I'll wait for the windows release of this app..:)
@ramkumarhq There are many users (including myself), who use android phones for their customisation... Iphones are of good quality, I agree.. But in terms of customisation, and open source contribution it is far behind...
@ramkumarhq I think it depends on the person. As an end user maybe Windows and Android is a good combination, but for a power user MacOS and Android is really awesome. At the core MacOS (Darwin) and Android (Linux) are unix-likes so you can actually compile Android from source on MacOS, and setting up tools like ADB & Fastboot are a breeze with a pm like Homebrew.
I've been a Mac owner for about two years now and I think MacOS is sort of the best of all worlds, as you can run native MacOS apps, use the terminal to run *nix apps, and emulate windows apps so It keeps me happy.
It also depends on whether you have an apple phone @ramkumarhq. All iPhones and iPads support FaceTime audio video calls and if the devices are in proximity of each other even calls can be answered and made from the mac (IIRC). One of the best things about apple is that their products have very tightly knit integrations.
This app was awesome! In f* Catalina doesn't work anymore, and I haven't found a working alternative yet (I use android).
It's a shame they stopped working on it 😔
Connecton allows your Laptop to Make/Receive cellular calls from your Android phone over Bluetooth - HandsFree. It also syncs your contacts. It's available on Mac App Store. https://apps.apple.com/in/app/co...

This is one of the most useful apps if you have a Mac and an Android/Windows Phone/BlackBerry phone.
Pros:It allows me to take calls and text messages on my Mac using my Android phone, and there's nothing to install on the phone!
Cons:The text messaging could be a bit better by grouping by conversation.
