Telepat is an open-source backend stack, designed to deliver information and information updates in real-time to clients, while allowing for flexible deployment and simple scaling.
@andreimarinescu I would want to ideally use this as a REST api and pub/sub on for my own clients. Will REST api support come out relatively soon? I saw you guys are working on CRUD for objects.
Also how are you supporting this project with no pricing?
@blainehatab is REST really required? Telepat already is an API, but we feel REST is overkill for our use case.
If Telepat is awesome, we'll figure the money out. We'll probably have a paid, cloud version for bigger companies, that need scale. But for now, we need to make it awesome.
@gabidobocan Fantastic. I hope you guys absolutely kill it.
Only reason I was asking about a REST api is when a lot of my projects scale I like to release public apis to my data and having a feature for that would be awesome. I could release the pub sub but I feel like a lot of people will prefer rest to consume the api.
Hey everyone! We've written a blog post that pretty much sums up our vision on real time infrastructures and our drive for this product. Have a look: http://blog.telepat.io/2015/08/1...
