Teamy puts your team on your desktop, so you can start informal audio & video chats in just one click. Collaborate better together and have more fun throughout the day.
Hey Product Hunt!š
After over 1.5 years of working remotely, our team split between the UK, Belgium, Spain and Ukraine realized that the thing we miss the most is quick burst natural conversations.
We feel like either scheduling a meeting or sending each other Slack messages is not enough to recreate the depth of quick natural interactions.
We built Teamy to answer these issues, helping teams feel the presence of being together and communicate faster!
It works like a breeze: favourite the teammates with whom you interact the most, connect your calendar for automatic status updates and voila - your team is at your fingertips!
Here are a few interesting features
š„Desktop application for iOS & Windows
āļøOne-click conversations
š®HD audio, video and screen sharing
āļøCalendar integrations for automatic status update
Weāre currently working hard on making this available and will be opening up our beta shortly, hoping to help all the teams working remotely now.
It will be available both for Windows and Mac. Weād love for you to show your interest in GetTeamy.com, and weāre looking forward to your feedback!
Thank you!
@thea_mark Thanks for the question!
Our view is the following: given that Slack is the go-to for text-based communication, we find that it is often used for conversations that would have been better over audio/video (e.g., complex or emotional topic, natural conversations).
Reducing the barrier to audio/video conversations make them more likely to happen. Lots of studies have shown that the most productive teams are the one with frequent quick-burst conversations, which is why it's helping a lot of remote teams communicate more openly and organically.
We strive to provide a real-time view of whether your teammates are available and make it easy to jump into a conversation in just one click in order to build more connected & productive teams.
Great idea! The concept of "water cooler chat" has completely gone amiss in this virtual world. So important for productivity, working relationships and the enjoyment of working!
@tobysharland Couldn't agree more Toby - we are hoping to help teams build more meaningful relationships while not loosing out on the perks of working remotely. Thanks for supporting us!
