Curious to find out if it is any better than Netflix' mostly useless recommendations ;) can you share a bit of insight on how the previous rounds of funding have been put to use since 2019 (more specifically, what is the split between tech and marketing, trying to better understand the level of organic growth here). All the best for today's launch!
@wintoniak minimal on market so far, getting the algorithm right and setting it up for multiple categories have been the focus. But we didn't expect the streaming war to get so wild, so we've put a lot more focus on streaming lately...I think the TV app's going to make a big difference, we've been testing in it beta and...let's just say... it's quite sticky...
@nikola_ognjanovic Spotify for movies/tv is easier said then done. But hey, Spotify did it from scratch, right? Your head is in the right space, tho...big problem, someone has to solve for it for the consumers.
The idea of getting suggestions from people with similar tastes is intriguing. Have you thought about expanding this into other domains like books or even online courses?
I heard about Taste from a friend, and it's pretty cool how it relies on people with similar tastes to give you personalized recommendations. They said it's surprisingly accurate, so you don't have to sift through genres and stories to find something you'll enjoy. It sounds like a time-saver for finding what to watch.
I recently tried Taste 2.0 on ProductHunt, and I must say, it's a game-changer for movie enthusiasts like me. The personalized movie suggestions it provides are incredibly accurate, making it easy to discover new films I'm sure to enjoy. The user-friendly interface and seamless experience make it a must-have for any cinephile. With Taste 2.0, I've found a reliable source for fresh movie recommendations tailored to my personal taste. Highly recommended!
Impressions: Everyone I've met has had different taste, but Taste brought us together and found common ground. It accurately predicted what I would love to watch and made suggestions I hadn't considered. Amazing!
