Drowning in tabs? Tabs Magic turns your browser into a visual productivity board. Create columns, group tabs, and set smart reminders. Now on Chrome, Firefox, and Safari.
Hey Product Hunt! 🚀 I’m super excited to relaunch Tabs Magic, a tool to finally tame your tab chaos.
If your browser looks like a jungle of 57 open tabs across random windows, you’re not alone. I built Tabs Magic to finally bring structure and calm to how we browse, and this new version is the biggest upgrade yet:
✨ Collapsible Columns – Focus on what matters, hide what doesn’t 📁 Nested Subgroups – Organize tabs like folders in folders 🗓️ Natural Language Dates – Type “next Friday” or “2 weeks,” Tabs Magic handles the rest 🌙 Dark Mode – For those late night deep work sessions 🌐 Now on Firefox & Safari – Not just Chrome anymore!
Whether you're managing a side project, planning a trip, or just tired of losing track of that “article you were totally going to read,” Tabs Magic keeps you in control. It’s completely free to use—no signups, no paywalls. Just install and get organized.
💥 Try it out, tell your friends, and let me know what you think!
I use my browser as a mini workspace, one window for freelance projects, another for job hunting, another for random inspiration I’ll probably never revisit. 😅 Just tried Tabs Magic and love the concept. umm, it would be cool if we could “pin” a whole column so it’s always visible even if other stuff is collapsed.
@hamza_afzal_butt Thank you very much for your support, Hamza! Love how you’ve turned your browser into a kind of modular workspace 😄 Really glad TabsMagic clicks with your flow. I really appreciate you bringing this great idea of pinning a column. Definitely noting that down for the roadmap. Again thanks a lot for trying it out!
@kevin Hi Kevin, I really appreciate your support as a wonderful hunter. Indeed my goal with TabsMagic is to turn tab overload into a smoother, more productive experience. Hopefully it helps you in a big way as well!
Super helpful for ADHD brains like mine who leave everything open “just in case.” Quick question - can we drag and drop tabs between columns, or do we have to manually regroup them? Also wondering if you plan to add sync across devices?
@sidraarifaliHi Sidra, yes, you can drag and drop tabs between columns. Everything in Tabs Magic is designed to be drag-and-drop friendly to make the interface clean and easy to use. As for sync, Tabs Magic does not currently support sync across devices due to everything being stored locally, but we will definitely consider it for future updates!
It sounds like saving lives for people like me who treat their browser like a second brain. I usually have tabs open for work, articles to read, random ideas and things to follow up on everything just piles up.
@hazel_mathew Thanks so much Hazel for your support! What you described is exactly the kind of chaos that I hopes to untangle with TabsMagic. I can totally relate to your “second brain” tab jungle, so glad to hear this tool is helpful to you!
@hosseinyazdi Thanks a lot, Hossein! I really appreciate you giving TabsMagic a try. I agree that OneTab is a very good tool as well, and I’d love to hear what you think after trying TabsMagic and I am excited to hear how it compares for you. Hope it genuinely helps cut down the hassle!
@justin_bao Thanks a lot for your support, Justin! I am so glad you find it helpful. TabsMagic was built for exactly that feeling of being buried in tabs, excited to see it resonates with you.
Cool! I do not have to have 10000 tabs open, just one where I can sort everything! :)
Suggestion: When I click on the link within the tab, I would welcome opening it in a new tab because I am losing access to all my sorted tabs within your plugin.
@busmark_w_nika Thanks for your support, Nika! Currently, the reason clicking on the link opens it in the same tab is because you can see all your sorted tabs again by just opening a new tab. But we will definitely consider adding your approach be a toggleable option.
@flashsonic Maybe it is a good thing because I realised my tab is more decluttered, and after finishing my day, I can close all my tabs and whenever I am going back, I can see where I ended with my browsing. This tool is gold!
Okay, this looks like it was built for me. I’m currently planning a trip and have like 30 tabs open—flights, Airbnbs, blogs, Google Docs—you name it. It would be amazing if I could just group everything by topic and collapse the stuff I’m done with. Does it save the tab layout after restarting the browser?
@german_merlo1 Thanks so much, Germán! Really appreciate the kind words and your support! It means a lot to me. So glad to hear that you find TabsMagic useful!
OMG!! This is exactly what I needed! I always have many open tabs daily for my work, school, hobbies, etc. Tabs Magic perfectly solves my problem of finding the tabs I need. I would love it if you could change the background of the new tab because I enjoy personalizing my browser :D
@nigarsafarova Hi Nigar, thanks for your support! We're so happy to hear Tabs Magic can solve your tab management problem. We will definitely look into adding more personalization options for the background of the New Tab.
Awesome base feature set. One problem many people use tab managers to solve is over-tabbing. It would be helpful to have window by window management, search functionality to close duplicates, and quick selection options to cut down on clutter across multiple browser windows.
Congrats on the relaunch of Tabs Magic! It sounds like a fantastic tool for organizing browser chaos with its new features. As users streamline their browsing experience, Tabby, my AI-driven bookkeeping app, could be a great addition to help manage finances effortlessly. Looking forward to seeing how Tabs Magic transforms browsing habits.
@william_jin Hi William! Tabs Magic sets itself apart as a super visual and customizable solution to tab overload. All your favorite links with custom colors and notes are all always accessible from the New Tab page.
This is awesome! Tabs Magic truly solves the daily chaos of having too many open tabs. The new features like collapsible columns, nested subgroups, and natural language dates sound super practical—organizing tabs like folders within folders is a real game changer! Also love that it’s now available on Firefox and Safari. Thanks for making it completely free and easy to use!
Quick question: Do you have any plans to support mobile or tablet browsers in the future? Sometimes efficient tab management is just as needed on the go. Looking forward to seeing more updates from Tabs Magic!
@qilong We're so happy to hear that Tabs Magic sounds useful to you! Thanks for your suggestion; we will definitely consider supporting mobile browsers in the future.
