Just downloaded, looks modern and promising. But where is the guarantee that files are really transmitted "decentralized & secure" if everyone can see them in list?

The guarantee gives the underlaying NKN blockchain network which is also decentralized and secure. We got a little information about documented here: https://github.com/rule110-io/su...
Of course there will be an in-depth explainer video to show you how anonymity and decentralisation is achieved.

I guess this is the new frontier of file transfer. Been a while since I used bittorrent but with block chain i can imagine we now have proof of download. Glad it is open source as that will build trust and quality. Wishing Surge best wishes. I have downloaded.
@thejashmota Hi Jash, thank you for your interest! There are no strict limits, all files are sent in discreet chunks. These chunks are streamed from disk into memory.
However hashing a file can take some time for files beyond a few gigs depending on disk read / hashing speed, memory speed etc. We will implement a progress indication for this.
