Steddy is a beautiful exercise planner with no extra frills. Create a plan for your next week within minutes, log any activity in a single tap, and track your complete activity history with beautiful charts and trends.
Hey Product Hunt! 😸
The new Steddy - redesigned from the ground up - is finally available on the App Store. 🥳
After having a ton of fun testing the new updates with our friends over the past month, we’re stoked to share them with you:
💯 Our scoring system is now on a 100 point scale
🤩 New delightful microinteractions throughout the app
✅ Planning your next week got more intuitive and flexible
⏪ Go back as far as you want to add or edit past activities
📈 A monthly heatmap to visualize your effort in one quick glance
+ a ton more!
If you’ve been unsatisfied by gimmicky fitness apps in the past, we think you’ll love Steddy.
It’s designed for busy people who want flexible tools that stay out of their way (in fact, we decided to build Steddy because our previous solution to exercise planning was the Notes app).
We truly can’t wait to hear what you think, so give it a try and drop us a line!
We’ll be hanging out here all day. 😁
PS - You can take a peek at all of the designs that led up to today's launch here.
looks nice! do I have to write exercising plans from scratch every single time? Or can I can save my favorite workout sessions and repeat them on a weekly basis?
@darya_antonyuk thanks for mentioning that Darya. That's going to be one of the first features we improve. Right now the solution is to create your first week and then hit "Next Week" -> "Repeat Plan" but the user experience there is very clunky. Bear with us and we'll make it perfect for you soon, promise! 🙏
@darya_antonyuk@flutterrausch@raffichill Actually that's a very good point. I totally share this idea and (probably) you will find it in Steddy sooner than you think 👀
Congrats on the launch! I really love how the app feels and looks and can't wait to start using it more. The main benefit I see is being able to recall the workouts I've done - I currently do this using Google Calendar so not ideal. As others have probably mentioned already, it's be great for this to integrate with Apple Health data. I'm not sure I fully understand how the analytics part of the app works, but likely because I don't have enough data logged yet.
@cristinaibunea thanks Cristina!
We're going to keep building even more make browsing and querying your history easier.
Re scoring system: Check out our explainer for the point system (it's kinda hidden in the "Info Center" that you get to by tapping the top right icon so we'll need to make that more).
I also found it helpful to try to recall as much of my last two weeks as possible and backfill that so you can see a few more data points right from day 1.
Lmk if that helps.
Very cool, I’ve been wanting to try out a new workout app. The design looks minimalistic, yet polished. Love it 🙂
Couple questions: Is there a way to add weights x reps in a workout? If so, are these trackable on a graph/chart? One of the main things I’m looking for is measuring my progressive overload and if I’m doing it every workout.
@pradyumna2905 that's something that we're thinking really hard about. Currently we don't have an interface for weight/sets/reps so the way that I personally track them is via the notes.
But of course that doesn't allow for great data viz of the #s themselves. The reason we're taking our time with that is because every sets/reps/weight interface we've seen feels extremely bulky and we want to come up with a fresh and clean way to input that data. Hopefully soon!
@brian_lovin thank you Brian! Cannot overstate how much great feedback I got from the community on Campsite. The app and marketing assets would certainly not have turned out as well without it.
Congrats on the launch @raffichill. Talked to you a while ago when the app wasn't finished yet, love how it turned to be. There are some really nice touches on the design side. Let's see how it will evolve! Do you plan any integrations with the Health app or similar?
@kh_mugh let's see! We definitely think a HealthKit integration will help us improve notifications and give people credit when they forget to open Steddy. It will definitely also be interesting to see how your Steddy score maps to the available health metrics. Not totally sure whether that comes this month or in a few since there are still some other improvements that we want to make to the core flows, but it will be in there eventually and I'm excited for it!
Have been watching Raffi work on Steddy for a while via Twitter. Congrats to the team on the launch!
Tons of work has gone into the making the app a delight to use, and it shows!
@neilsuperduper You have no idea how much I appreciate your feedback. Twitter users have enabled us to make huge improvements.
The goal with Steddy was to create from the beginning a simple app that was pleasant to use.
Well, there is nothing more complex than creating something simple 🫣
I love the minimalism of Steddy, Been using all year, and started now with this new version. It is well designed and attention to details is on point. Steddy has been a good companion in achieving my workout routines, and get an insight oh how i´m performing, is like a workout journal. Highly recommended.
Steddy is the essence and lean and clean, intentionally designed for speed and function. Raffi and his team have done an exceptional job. If you’re looking for some inspiration and means to motivate consistency around your fitness routines, Steddy could be your perfect exercise partner.
Congrats on the launch, Raffi! Have loved seeing the gradual progress towards a polished product. The YouTube video of the design evolution is inspiring!
Congrats on the launch @raffichill! Thanks for sending me an early preview of this, it's been fun watching it evolve over time. Stoked for you to finally have it out in the wild. Congrats on creating such a delightful experience, can't wait to see where it goes next!
Hey everyone! 🙌🏼
So happy to see how much traction Steddy already gets here on Product Hunt!!
We completely rebuilt this app from scratch, again and again. A lot of work, sweat and tears by all of us were given into this product and we're finally able to present you with an elegant and simple product, which we hope all of you can enjoy! 🚀
Thanks to everyone who is giving Steddy a try and feel free to write you're thoughts and give us feedback!
Just had a look at Steddy and I'm genuinely excited. I mean, planning my workouts has always been a bit of a chore, but this looks super intuitive. Quick one: I saw the monthly heatmap feature - does it give a breakdown of my most active days or just a general overview?
@jakeharr it will look exactly like the preview pics above! Darker days mean more intense activity, with descriptive statistics below. So glad you're excited to give Steddy a try.
Congrats on the launch team! I'll be giving it a shot today. I still haven't found an app that helps me track cardio AND weightlifting, sounds like Steddy can add value to my routines 😁
@mateobilbao yes, yes, and yes. That is exactly what we're here for. Any activity!!! We don't have every feature that a weightlifting or running app might have (yet) but we are the best solution to make sure you show up to both.
I'm really impressed by the simplicity and user-friendly design of your app! It has the potential to make exercise even more enjoyable. Congratulations on the launch, guys! 👏
@hannadobromyl this is exactly what we hope to hear from people Hanna. No predatory fitness industry tactics needed - we believe a great UX, useful dashboards, and some cute interactions should be enough. 😁
I started playing with the app, and looks very promising for now.
Although I am missing Squash option in activities.
I hope it can be added soon.
Best!
Steddy, with its streamlined design optimized for speed and efficiency, is a testament to Raffi and his team's exceptional work. If you're in search of motivation and a steadfast fitness partner, Steddy is your ultimate choice.
