What Airbnb does for longer-term stays in a home, Splacer does for short-term event spaces. Users can list personal or commercial space, set prices, and users can rent them out for different types of events.Users can rent spaces both by the hour or by the day. Plus, users are offered a network of service providers, ranging from caterers to musicians to photographers (and even aerial dancers), so that they can plan the entirety of an event through a single portal.
@kevin It is important for filmmakers who are considering to rent through Splacer to understand that this unprofessional service does not uphold the legal standards required for professional productions. I am now loosing a lot of money due to an issue that is clear to me (renter) and the owner as having been created by Splacer. But, this extremely unprofessional service nether upholds the legal contracts set forth nor is it willing to take the responsibility for immense damage it caused my production due to carelessness.
We're excited to join the product hunt community! We really envision Splacer as a place for sharing space and making urban life more sustainable. Space owners can make extra cash and expand their network while event hosts can find creative, exciting locations that inspire them. We're in beta phase in NY, so we'd love to get feedback on our site and process and, of course, on anyone's experience booking events or listing space with us.
@njay301 I’ve had one of the worst experiences of my life booking through you guys and nightmare continues due to one of your reps. You call yourself a service? More scammers if you ask me.
